Splinterlands | The BORING HOBGOBLIN monster is not that boring

Hi there Splinterlands Warriors,

Welcome to another awesome splinterlands post, and I hope you all are doing well in your lives and enjoying the day with your loved ones. Now, if you are also a splinterlands player just like me and love to engage with this strategic web3 card game on a daily basis, then I guess you are all focused right now on the game and warming up in the battle arena after setting your seasonal goal. We have completed playing another ranked season just recently and I think that by now, all of you have already claimed your season-end glint rewards. As usual, another fresh new season has started already, and if we take a quick look at the season timer, there are still 23 days and 9 hours left for this ongoing ranked season to meet its end. So, whatever goal you have set for yourself for this season, whether it is to enter a particular league tier or to compete against the top players in the game for a place in the champion top leaderboard, I wish you reach there faster this time and without any trouble.

On the other hand, the Frontier mode is also getting crowded after a season end, and as usual, for both these gameplay formats, the trophy count has been reset for us players and now it's time to battle and accumulate those trophies again. As for me, I am, as usual, playing this gameplay mode on a regular basis and after the season reset, I was back again at Gold I league tier entry point with 2,500 trophy count and started my journey from there. I have only played a little since the season reset and right now, I am sitting at the same Gold I league tier with a current trophy count of 2,700. Now, with another around 13 days in hand, my goal will remain the same, to enter the Frontier leaderboard and for that, I am thinking of pushing my trophy count since the beginning, because you veteran players already know how hard it is to win matches and gather trophies during the season end time. Apart from reaching the frontier Leaderboard, I have another goal in this game, which is to build a max-level foundation card collection and right now, I am only a handful of epic cards away from completing that mission. Let's see how much more time it takes for me to catch those missing epic cards from the reward.

Boring Hobgoblin

Now, moving forward, let us come to the main topic of this post, as today, I will be talking about another awesome Conclave Arcana card with you all. As you have already seen in the thumbnail above, today I will be discussing the Boring Hobgoblin. So, if you are interested in knowing more about this monster, then let's take a dive without any further ado.

The Boring Hobgoblin is a monster type card, which was first seen in the land of splinterlands with the launch of the Conclave Arcana core edition cardset. This monster card belongs to the Neutral element and it comes from, as you have guessed, the Goblin bloodline. In order to use this card in battles, you need to spend 5 mana. So, ideally, you easily choose this card in your lineup when playing low to medium mana limit matches. The rarity type of this card is common, so you need a total of 400 cc cards to upgrade it to its max level. Its attack type is melee, and apart from a good attack power, it also carries a solid combo of armour + health at decent speed and also flaunts 3 abilities at its max level, which I am about to cover later in this post. Let us now take a further look at this card league-wise stats and abilities to find out more.

BRONZE

At level 3, this monster card possesses decent stats, which consist of 1 melee attack power at 3 speed with 1 armour and 3 health. Apart from that, it also gets 2 abilities at this level, the first one is called Sneak, which it receives since its initial level and then the Reveal ability at this level.

SNEAK - Targets the enemy unit in the last position.

REVEAL - Each round applies Revealed to a Camouflaged enemy unit. Revealed units can be targeted by direct attacks.

SILVER

When you upgrade this card further to level 5, it receives the same stats as its previous league level, i.e., 1 melee attack power at 3 speed with 1 armour and 3 health. However, it does get a new ability at this level called Silence, with which it suddenly becomes a pure anti magic card.

SILENCE - -1 magic power to all enemy units.

GOLD

As this monster card gets upgraded further to level 8, it gets an increased stat of 1 melee attack power at 3 speed with 3 armour and 5 health. Though it does not get any new abilities at this level, the enhanced stats will surely help you in the battles.

DIAMOND / CHAMPION

Finally, when you upgrade this card to its max level of 10, it possesses further enhanced stats that consist of 3 melee attack power at 3 speed with 3 armour and 5 health. It does not get any new abilities even at our last level as well, but the increased stats balanced that out well.

Last but not least, I always love to play with sneak and opportunity ability cards and love the overall stats and abilities of this sneak card as well. Not to mention that this sneak card is one of the popular backline attack cards in Conclave Arcana for its properties that are very much anti to both Camouflage ability cards and magic attackers. Overall, I think it is a great card to hold in your collection if you want to be competitive. What do you think?
