Hello Splinterlands Warriors,

Welcome back to another awesome Splinterlands post, and I guess all of you are doing pretty well in life and spending an amazing day with your loved ones. Now, if you are one of those warriors who are actively playing this web3 strategy game irrespective of the market conditions and continuously working on building your collection in splinterlands, I believe you are currently pouring all your strength and wit into the battle arena and grinding ranked battles while pushing your trophy count towards your goal. If we take a quick peek at the current ranked season timer, there are still around 7 days and 22 hours left before this season comes to an end. So there is still a good amount of time left to climb up the trophy ladder, secure better league tiers, and aim for those juicy league tier reward chests, or even aim for one of those glorious leaderboard positions if you are feeling confident. Just remember to manage your battle energy wisely and maintain a balance, so that you can maximise your rewards throughout the season.

Now, taking a look at my own progress in the Frontier mode of this game, I am currently playing in the highest Gold I league tier with a trophy count of around 3,440. My main goal for this season is the same, which is to reach the 4,000 trophy mark first and then try pushing further for the leaderboard. As there is still enough time left, I will try my best to progress steadily and let's see how it goes.

On the other hand, if we take a quick look at the weekly Frontier raffle, I have currently collected a total of just 6 entries. With around 5 days and 21 hours left before the upcoming raffle draw, I will try to increase this number to at least 54 entries. Last time, I even reached around 60 entries, but sadly still didn’t get lucky, so let’s see how things go this time. Another interesting update in the game right now is that the exclusive sale for the GRAYHAMMER PAINSMITH monster is currently live. Each CC costs exactly 25 voucher tokens, so those of you who are planning to grab this mighty beast card might want to take a look before the sale ends.

Emberscale Invoker

Now moving forward, let us come to the main topic of this post, as today I will be taking a closer look at another interesting monster from the newest Escalation mini edition. As you have already seen in the title and thumbnail above, today I will be talking about the Emberscale Invoker. So if you are interested in learning more about this monster card, let us dive deeper without any further delay.

The Emberscale Invoker is a monster-type card that was introduced in the game with the latest Escalation edition mini cardset. This monster belongs to the Fire element and it comes from the Drakoshan bloodline. By rarity, this card is a Common monster, so you will require a total of 400 CC cards in order to upgrade it to its maximum level. Now, if you want to use this monster in battles, you need to spend 7 mana, which makes it a good option for medium to high mana limit matches. The attack type of this monster is Magic, and apart from its attack power, it also comes with a solid combination of high speed, along with defensive armor and health that makes it quite durable on the battlefield. At its maximum level, this monster gains a total of four abilities, which makes it quite powerful for its rarity, which I will talk about later in this post. Let us now take a closer look at its league-wise stats and abilities to learn more about this card.

BRONZE

At level 3, this monster holds decent stats that consist of 2 magic attack power at 3 speed with 2 armor and 5 health. Apart from these stats, it gains abilities from early levels, including Snipe from level 1 and Enrage from level 3. This combination allows the monster to target backline enemies while becoming stronger when damaged.

image.png

SNIPE – Magic and ranged attacks target the first non-melee enemy unit behind the first position.

image.png

ENRAGE – Gains +50% power and speed (rounded up) when not at full health.

SILVER

When you upgrade this monster further to level 5, its stats improve slightly and it now holds 2 magic attack power at 3 speed with 3 armor and 5 health. At this level, it also gains another useful ability called Phase. This ability makes the monster more survivable against magic-heavy opponents.

image.png

PHASE – Magic attacks have the same chance to miss as physical attacks.

GOLD

As this monster gets upgraded further and reaches level 8, its stats improve and it now carries 3 magic attack power at 4 speed with 4 armor and 5 health. Even though it does not unlock any new abilities at this level, the increased speed and attack power make it more effective in battles.

DIAMOND / CHAMPION

Finally, when you upgrade this monster to its maximum level of 10, its stats improve further and it now holds 3 magic attack power at 4 speed with 4 armor and 6 health. At this level, it also gains a powerful ability called Ambush. This ability gives the monster a huge advantage by allowing it to strike before the battle officially begins.

image.png

AMBUSH – Takes an extra turn prior to the first round of battle.

Last but not least, I think this monster can be very useful in different types of battles. First of all, it comes with a solid defensive setup with decent armor and health, which makes it hard to take down easily. Another strong point is its magic attack combined with the Snipe ability, which allows it to target backline enemies and deal damage where it matters most. The Phase ability is also one of my favourites, as it gives the monster a chance to dodge magic attacks. On top of that, the Ambush ability provides a strong early advantage by allowing it to attack before the battle even begins, and in some cases, it can even take down a backline unit before it gets a chance to act. Overall, I think the Emberscale Invoker is a powerful and strategic magic attacker that can perform really well in the right lineup. What do you think?

I hope you enjoyed reading my post about EMBERSCALE INVOKER. Let me know your thoughts about today's post in the comments section below, and I look forward to seeing you all in my next post.

While reading your explanation of the card, I felt like I was slowly getting to know a character. The way you explained the use of the abilities in particular seems to be quite useful.
Explaining it that way captures the fun in the game better 👍
