Hi there Splinterlands Warriors,

Welcome back to another awesome Splinterlands post guys, and I guess you all are doing pretty well in your lives and enjoying an energetic day with your family and friends. For those of you who are actively playing this web3 card-based NFT strategy game and continuously working hard after your in-game card collection, I think all of you have already started grinding again in this newly launched fresh season. If we take a look at the current ranked season timer, there are still around 14 days and 1 hour left, which means we have just entered and are still in the early phase of the season. So I think this is the perfect time to build momentum, push your trophy count steadily, and aim for higher league tiers to loot those juicy reward chests or even go for champion top leaderboard positions. But please keep in mind to keep an eye and manage your battle energies wisely so that you can get the best possible rewards throughout the season.

Now, moving on and taking a look at my own progress in the Frontier gameplay mode, I am currently playing in the Gold I league tier with a trophy count of 2,880. As usual, my goal for this season remains the same, which is to reach the 4,000 trophy count first and then try pushing further for the leaderboard. Since there is still plenty of time left, I will try to climb steadily without rushing too much and let's see how it turns out this time. On the other hand, if we take a quick look at the weekly Frontier raffle, I have currently collected a total of 18 entries. With around 5 days left before the raffle draw, I will try to increase this number to at least 54 entries in order to improve my chances. Let’s see if I can win something this time as well.

Gramel the Hunger

Now moving forward, let us come to the main topic of this post, as today I will be shining light on one of the most interesting and unique monsters from the Conclave Arcana set. As you have already seen in the title and thumbnail above, today I will be talking about the Gramel the Hunger. So if you are interested in learning more about this monster card, let us take a deeper dive without any further delay.

The Gramel the Hunger is a monster-type card that was introduced in the game as an airdrop promo card for presale Conclave Arcana pack buyers. This monster belongs to the Neutral element and comes from the Fiend bloodline. By rarity, this card is a Legendary monster, so you will require a total of 11 CC cards in order to upgrade it to its maximum level. Now, if you want to use this monster in battles, you need to spend a massive 11 mana, which means it is mainly suited for high mana limit matches. The most unique aspect of this monster is its attack type, as it comes with Melee, Ranged, and Magic attacks all in a single card, which is extremely rare and powerful. At its maximum level, this monster gains a total of five abilities, making it one of the most ability-rich cards in the game. Let us now take a closer look at its league-wise stats and abilities below.

BRONZE

At level 1, this monster holds very unique stats that consist of 1 melee, 2 ranged, and 1 magic attack power at 3 speed with 1 armor and 7 health. Apart from these stats, it already comes with two abilities from the beginning, which are Charge and Scattershot. These two abilities together make the monster dangerous right from the start, as it can attack from any position and hit random enemy targets.

CHARGE – Can use melee attacks from any position.

SCATTERSHOT – Magic and ranged attacks target a random enemy unit.

SILVER

When this monster gets upgraded further to level 2, its stats remain the same, ie, 1 melee, 2 ranged, and 1 magic attack power at 3 speed with 1 armor and 7 health, but it unlocks another powerful ability called Relentless Strike. This ability ensures that the monster can still deal damage even against heavily defensive enemies.

RELENTLESS STRIKE – If an attack's damage would be reduced by Void, Shield, or Forcefield, it deals true damage +1 instead.

GOLD

As this monster gets upgraded further and reaches level 3, its stats remain unchanged as 1 melee, 2 ranged, and 1 magic attack power at 3 speed with 1 armor and 7 health, but it gains another interesting ability called Shapeshift. This ability adds more flexibility to the monster when interacting with different bloodline-based mechanics.

SHAPESHIFT – Treated as all bloodlines.

DIAMOND / CHAMPION

Finally, when you upgrade this monster to its maximum level of 4, its stats remain the same: 1 melee, 2 ranged, and 1 magic attack power at 3 speed with 1 armor and 7 health, but it unlocks its final ability called Camouflage. This ability makes the monster even more dangerous, as it stays protected while continuously dealing damage from the backline.

CAMOUFLAGE – Cannot be directly targeted unless in the first position. Does not affect indirect attacks like Scattershot, Blast splash damage, Trample, or Wingbreak.

Last but not least, I think this monster is all about total destruction. First of all, I don’t think there are many cards in Splinterlands that come with all three attack types in a single unit, which already makes it very special and powerful. Another major advantage of this monster is its set of abilities. Charge allows it to attack from any position, almost like playing with a Melee Mayhem ruleset. Relentless Strike ensures it still deals damage even against defensive abilities, while Camouflage keeps it safe from direct attacks. On top of that, Shapeshift adds extra flexibility with bloodline interactions. However, the only downside is its high mana cost, which limits its usability mostly to high mana matches. But in some cases, you can even experiment with using this monster alone in low or medium mana battles. Overall, I think the Gramel the Hunger is a truly unique and powerful card that can dominate battles when used correctly. What do you think?

I hope you enjoyed reading my post about GRAMEL THE HUNGER. Let me know your thoughts about today's post in the comments section below, and I look forward to seeing you all in my next post.
