Splinterlands | The HALFSHELL SEER is a Well Protected Heavy Range Attacker

Hi there, Splinterlands Warriors!
Welcome to another fresh Splinterlands post, and I hope all of you are doing well in your lives and enjoying a vibrant day with your loved ones. For those of you who play this awesome web3 strategy-based card game regularly and love building your digital NFT card collection, I guess you are all currently busy battling in the ranked arena and trying to push your trophy count higher. Now, if we take a look at the ongoing ranked season clock, only around 6 days and 7 hours are left for this season to meet its end. So whatever goals you have set for yourself in this ranked season, whether it is to reach a new league tier and earn some juicy reward chests or to compete against the top players for a glorious place on the leaderboard, I hope you reach there easily within the reset time limit. But while enjoying the intense battles in the arena, don’t forget to keep an eye on your battle energy bar as well and maintain a balanced approach throughout the season to maximise your earning potential.

Another interesting thing happening right now in the game is that the Conclave Arcana pack sale is about to end, with only around 1 hour and 40 minutes left before it closes. So those of you who were planning to grab some packs from this edition might want to hurry up before the timer hits zero.

Now talking about my own activities in the game, I am, as usual, playing the Frontier mode on a regular basis and trying to maintain my usual position in the Gold league. Right now, my position stands at the highest Gold I league tier with a current trophy count of 3,740, and having a little over six days left in the season, my immediate goal is to reach the 4,000 trophy mark first. Once I achieve that, I will try to push further and see if I can manage to secure a spot on the Frontier leaderboard before the season ends. On the other hand, if we take a look at the weekly frontier raffle, I have currently collected a total of 54 entries, and with only around 7 hours left before the next raffle draw, I will try to grab 3 more entries within this short time window to increase my chances just a bit more. Let’s see if luck decides to smile on me this time.

Apart from that, today I also bought 1 CC card of the foundation edition monster Dire Bear, which is a melee attacking common rarity card, that comes from the Earth element. I bought this beast directly from the official Splinterlands marketplace. I spent only 14 DEC for the purchase, and it is another small step toward improving my overall foundation card collection.

Halfshell Seer
Now moving forward, let us come to the main topic of this post, as today I will be talking about another interesting monster from the Conclave Arcana core edition. As you have already seen in the title and thumbnail above, today I will be discussing the Halfshell Seer. So if you are interested in learning more about this monster card, let’s take a deep dive without any further delay.
The Halfshell Seer is a monster-type card that was introduced in the game with the Conclave Arcana core card set. This monster belongs to the Neutral element and comes from the Tortisian bloodline. By rarity, this card is a Rare monster, so you will require a total of 115 CC cards compared to common cards in order to upgrade it to its maximum level. Now, if you want to use this monster in battles, you need to spend only 4 mana, which makes it a very flexible option for low to medium mana limit matches, and also the ones with Little Leagues match ruleset. The attack type of this monster is Ranged, and apart from having a good amount of armor and health, it also possesses a strong attack power at higher levels. This monster comes with one unique ability, which I will explain later in this post. Let us now take a deeper look at this monster’s league-wise stats and abilities below to understand it better.

BRONZE
At level 2, this monster holds decent stats that consist of 2 ranged attack power at 2 speed with 2 armor and 4 health. Apart from these solid base stats, it also gets an ability from its initial level called Reckless. This ability can be quite tricky because while dealing damage to the enemy, it can also hurt your own nearby monsters.

RECKLESS – Each successful attack also deals 1 true damage to adjacent allied units.
SILVER
When you upgrade this monster further to level 4, its stats get improved and it now holds 3 ranged attack power at 3 speed with 2 armor and 4 health. Though it does not gets any new abilities at this level, the increased attack power and speed definitely make it more effective in battles.
GOLD
As this monster gets upgraded further and reaches level 6, its stats improve again and now it possesses 3 ranged attack power at 4 speed with 2 armor and 6 health. Even though there are no additional abilities unlocked at this level, the higher speed and improved health will help this monster survive longer on the battlefield.
DIAMOND / CHAMPION
Finally, when you upgrade this monster to its maximum level of 8, its stats increase significantly and it now holds a powerful 5 ranged attack power at 4 speed with 2 armor and 6 health. This high attack power makes it a very dangerous backline damage dealer.
Last but not least, I think this monster can be quite useful in many different types of battles. First of all, it comes with a very low mana cost of only 4, which makes it easy to fit into low to medium mana limit matches. Next, it can deliver a very strong ranged attack, reaching up to 5 attack power at max level, which can deal heavy damage to enemy monsters. However, its Reckless ability makes it a bit tricky to use because every successful attack also damages your nearby friendly monsters. So while this monster can be extremely powerful, you should place it carefully in your lineup to avoid harming your own team. Overall, I think this monster can still be a great addition to your collection, especially if you like using strong ranged attackers in your lineup. What do you think?
