Hello Splinterlands fam!

I hope you all are doing well in your lives and spending an amazing day with your family and friends. Now, if you are also a splinterlands player like me and love to engage with this awesome web3 strategy game on a daily basis, then most probably you are brainstorming in the game and trying to win battles in the arena to progress in the ranked season and other gameplay formats. If we take a look at the ongoing ranked season, only around 8 days left for this current season to meet its end. So, whatever goal you have set in your mind, whether it is to reach a particular league tier and win some lucrative reward chests or to compete against the top players for a seat in the champion leaderboard, I guess the journey is going well for you. Having only around a week in hand, it's wise to start pushing your trophy count while the traffic is manageable, while balancing your battle energy meter in order to maximise your SPS and other rewards win rate. But time flies fast in the land of splinters, and before you realise, the season-end bloodbath will begin and all the OG players with their unbeatable collection will appear in the battle arena. So, be sure to accomplish your goal as soon as possible and then watch the season-end war from afar while recharging your energy meter for the upcoming season. Now, let’s talk about my own performance in the game and as I shared in my previous posts, I am, as usual, grinding myself deep into the frontier mode and enjoying playing it on a daily basis. For those who are new, the frontier mode is the newest gameplay mode in splinterlands and unlike other formats, this mode is completely free to play, where you do not need to invest anything, nor required to own or rent anything using money to start playing this mode. Yes, you can start playing this mode for absolutely free and earn foundation edition cards for your efforts, which can be traded for DEC tokens. I am playing this mode soon after it launched and gladly, I have already progressed well and also managed to build an almost complete max-level foundation card collection. Right now, I am playing at the highest Gold I league tier with a trophy count of 3,680 and with another 8 days in hand, this time I am trying to reach 4,000 trophies and make a new high. Let’s see how it goes and if I can reach my goal.

LUCKY LONGSHOT

Moving forward, let me now come to the main topic of this post, as today, I will be talking about another awesome Conclave Arcana monster with you all. As you have already seen in the thumbnail above, today I will be talking about the Lucky Longshot. So, if you are interested in knowing more about this monster and its abilities and features, then let’s take a dive without any further ado.

The Lucky Longshot is a monster-type card, which was first seen in splinterlands with the launch of the latest Conclave Arcana edition core card set. This monster belongs to the Death element and it comes from the Gnome bloodline. It costs only 3 mana to be used in battles, so you can easily fit this card in your lineup when playing low to medium mana limit matches, or the ones with the Little League ruleset. By rarity, this monster is an Epic type card, so you would require a total of 46 CC cards in order to upgrade this monster to its max level. The best feature of this card is its attack type, because it holds dual range + magic attack. Apart from that, it also flaunts a large health bar at decent speed and 2 abilities at its max level, which I will be talking about later in this post. Let us now take a deeper look at this card’s league wise stats and abilities below to find out more.

BRONZE

At level 2, this monster card possesses decent stats, which consist of 1 ranged and 0 magic attack power at 2 speed with 3 health. Not only that, but it also gets an ability called Weapons Training since its initial level, which gives attack power to its adjacent friendly monster if they are attackless.

WEAPONS TRAINING - Gives attack type and power to adjacent no-attack units (max of 3 power).

SILVER

When this monster gets upgraded and reaches its next level 3, it receives its magic attack and now it holds 1 ranged and 1 magic attack power at 2 speed with 3 health, along with the weapons training ability. Though it does not get any new abilities at this level, the weapons training ability with both attack types will help you well if you put attack cards adjacent to it.

GOLD

As you upgrade this monster further to level 5, its health stat gets an increment and now it gets 1 ranged and 1 magic attack power at 2 speed with 4 health. Apart from that, it also gets a new ability at this level called Weaken, which will reduce the health of all the enemy monsters.

WEAKEN - -1 max health to all enemy units.

DIAMOND / CHAMPION

Finally, when you upgrade this mobster to its max level of 6, it receives further enhanced stats of 2 ranged and 1 magic attack power at 2 speed with 5 health, along with those 2 abilities that I mentioned above. Though it doesn't get any new abilities at its max level, its increased ranged attack will surely help you take down enemy monsters faster.

Last but not least, I think this is an amazing monster and very powerful and the most awesome feature of this monster is its dual attack type + Weapons training ability. Because if you use 2 attack fewer monsters adjacent to this monster, both of them will receive dual attack type as well. On top of that, this monster only costs 3 mana to be used in your lineup, so you can easily choose this monster in almost every battle, if allowed by the ruleset. So, overall, I think this monster should be in your collection. What do you think?
