Splinterlands | The SHENG XIAO Archon Weaken Enemy Cards Wonderfully
Hello Splinterlands fam!
I hope you all are doing well in your lives and spending an awesome day with your family and friends. But if you are also a splinterlands player like me, do not forget to play the game and finish your goal if you haven't already. Because if we take a look at the click timer of this ongoing ranked season, only 1 day and 7 hours remain for this current ranked season to meet its end. So, whatever goal you have set for yourself for this season, whether you want to win enough battles in the arena to enter a certain league tier and grab some juicy reward loot chests, or you want to fight against the OG players of this game to acquire a seat in the top champion leaderboard, I hope you are working hard on it already if you are yet to reach your goal. But don't forget to keep an eye on your battle energy mana as well, especially when there's only a day left in your hand, so you don't end up missing them when you need them the most. I wish you all the best of luck and hope you accomplish your mission within time.
Now, talking about the frontier mode, I hope you all are also enjoying this new gameplay mode and playing it on a regular basis besides completing your other modes like ranked season, tournaments and brawls. To be honest, since the release of this free to play, it has been my mission to grind in this mode daily and continuously because of its addictive competition and unmatched thrill. The best part of this mode is that it is a free to play mode, so you don't get left behind for unable to pour enough money. Anyways, for me, right now, I am playing at the highest Gold I league tier with a trophy count of 4,120. Right now, my goal is to enter the top leaderboard in frontier mode and for that, I have to gather at least another 200 trophies. But with only another 1 day left and a weak battle energy bar at my disposal, it will be a tough job to get into the leaderboard this time. But I will try my level best as usual and let's see if I can reach my goal this time as well.
Moving forward, let me now come to the main topic of this post, as today, I will be showcasing another amazing Conclave Arcana card with you all. As you have already seen in the thumbnail above, today I will be talking about the SHENG XIAO. So, if you are interested in knowing more about this card, then let us take a dive without any further ado.
SHENG XIAO
The SHENG XIAO is an archon type card that was first seen in the game with the launch of the latest Conclave Arcana core edition cardset. This archon card belongs to the Dragon element and it comes from the same Dragon bloodline. By rarity, it is a legendary type card, so you would require a total of 11 CC cards in order to upgrade this archon to max level. To use this archon in your battle lineup, you need to spend 5 mana, so ideally, you can easily select this archon when playing medium to high mana limit matches. This is an archon card and hence does not carry any stats; it carries a special buff or ability that it provides to each friendly monster card in the battles, which I will talk about later in this post. Let us now take a further look at this card’s league wise supporting monsters and buff below to know more about this archon.
BRONZE - At Bronze max league or level 1, this archon supports max -> level 3 commons, level 2 rares, level 2 epics and level 1 legendary cards.
SILVER - At Silver max league or level 2, it supports max -> level 5 commons, level 4 rares, level 3 epics and level 2 legendary cards.
GOLD - At Gold max league or level 3, this archon card supports max -> level 8 commons, level 6 rares, level 5 epics and level 3 legendary cards.
DIAMOND / CHAMPION - At its max league or level 4, this archon card will support all max cards -> level 10 commons, level 8 rares, level 6 epics and level 4 legendary cards.
BUFFS
Like most of the archon cards in the Splinterlands game, this archon card also holds some buffs and for this archon, it possesses 2 buffs, which are applied since its initial level. Let us now take a deep dive into this archon’s details below and see what this archon has for us.
The first ability that this archon possesses is the Corrosive Ward, which can be given to 2 monsters of your choice.
CORROSIVE WARD
-2 to attacker’s maximum armour when hit by a melee attack.
The second ability that this archon hold sis called the Poison Burst ability, which it also provides to 2 monsters of your choice.
POISON BURST
When defeated, 100% chance to apply poisoned to the attacker and 50% chance to apply poisoned to units adjacent to the attacker. Poisoned units lose 2 health at the beginning of each round.
As you can clearly see, this archon gives 2 of your friendly monster with these 2 abilities that I mentioned above. First of all, the Corrosive Ward will help you to reduce enemy monsters’ armours and on top of that, the Poison Burst ability will help you to poison the enemy monsters when rightfully applied. So, this archon will be very useful when you battle against enemy monsters with high armour and health stats. Hence, you can weaken these enemy monsters even before attacking them directly and hopefully kill enemy cards before they launch multiple attacks. Overall, I think it is indeed a powerful archon for Dragon monsters and according to me, it does deserve a place in your arsenal. What do you think?

Now that they have taken away the restriction for Nidhoggr, I rarely see this archon being used anymore. Especially with all the people playing Final Rest ability, the poison lands less often because people are worried about bloodline tribute. I just don't see this card more powerful that Akane or Nidhoggr in most situations, which is sad. Before lots of Final Rest, I would use this archon to help break Ulund mirrors!!
