Splinterlands | The SONGALE is an Overpowered Magic Monster but with a Catch

Hello Splinterlands fam!

I hope you all are doing well in your lives and spending an awesome day with your family and friends. Now, if you are also a splinterlands player like me and play this web3 game in your daily free time and enjoy the thrill, then you must be fighting hard in the battlefield right now. If we take a look at the current ranked season timer, the season is almost about to end and only has 19 hours left before it hit the reset. By now, I guess most of you have already reached your desired place, whether it is to enter a particular league tier and claim some juicy reward chests or to fight against the bravest players in the game at the champion league for a glorious seat in the top leaderboard positions and win big rewards. But for those of you who are yet to reach their goals, you must hurry up and pour all your strength and strategies into the arena. As expected, the season-end bloodbath has also started and all the OG players from across the globe are being super active right now. So play with a focused mind and I wish you reach your goal before the time ends.

Now, talking about the Frontier mode, there's no doubt that this new gameplay mode in splinterlands is making some big waves and maintaining its shine to attract more and more players. Especially after the launch of the 4 new jackpot foundation edition cards, it is now an even more interesting thing to play every day and try your luck with every daily mission reward you claim, if one of them gives you an extra gift in the form of a jackpot card. Now, for me, till now I have won a total of 3 jackpot cards and all of them were the water element common type card in regular foil, and I continue to hustle in search of rare foil cards. Anyways, right now I am playing at the highest Gold I league tier with a trophy count of 4,280 and since I started playing this mode, this is the highest amount of trophies that I gathered. Gladly, this heavy push has also earned me a place in the frontier leaderboard and currently, I am in 33rd place on the leaderboard. If I successfully hold this position until the season reset, I will be awarded with more foundation packs and raffle entries, so right now I am very excited and also stopped playing anymore, because there is less than 1 day left for this ongoing frontier season to meet its end.

Songale

Moving forward, let me now come to the main topic of this post, as today, I will be talking about another awesome conclave arcana monster with you all. As you have already seen in the thumbnail above, today I will be discussing the Songale. So, if you are interested in knowing more about this monster, then let’s take a dive without any further ado.

The Songale is a monster type card, which was first seen in the game with the release of the newest conclave arcana core edition card set. This mobster belongs to the Dragon element and it comes from the Drakoshan bloodline. The rarity of this particular monster card is Epic, so you would require a total of 46 CC cards to upgrade this monster to max level. It costs 7 mana to use this card in battles, so ideally, you may use this card in your lineup when playing medium to high mana limit matches. The attack type of this card is Magic and apart from a good attack power at decent speed with a solid combo of health and armour, this monster also features a whopping 5 abilities at its max level, which I will be talking about later in this blog. Let us now take a further look at this card’s league wise stats and abilities below to find out more.

BRONZE

At level 2, this monster card possesses powerful stats, which consist of 2 magic attack power at 3 speed with 2 armour and 8 health. Not only that, but it also gets 3 abilities at level 2. First, it gets the Reckless and Taunt ability at level 1, then it again gets the Enrage ability at this level.

RECKLESS - Each successful attack also deals 1 true damage to adjacent allied units.

TAUNT - Draws the attacks of enemy units. Does not affect Reach, Scattershot, Wingbreak, or enemy units in the first position.

ENRAGE - +50% melee power and speed (rounded up) if not at full health.

SILVER

When this monster gets upgraded to level 3, it receives the same stats as its previous level - 2 magic attack power at 3 speed with 2 armour and 8 health. But gladly, it does receive a new ability at this level called Bloodline Tribute.

BLOODLINE TRIBUTE - When defeated, all allied units of the same bloodline gain +1 health, speed and armour and +1 power to each shared attack type.

GOLD

As this mobster gets further upgraded and reaches level 5, here it gets its health stat is increased and it now holds 2 magic attack power at 3 speed with 2 armour and 9 health. Apart from that, it also carries a new ability called the Redemption.

REDEMPTION - When defeated, deals 1 physical damage to all enemy units.

DIAMOND / CHAMPION

Finally, when this monster and upgraded further and reaches its max level 6, it carries 3 magic attack power at 3 speed with 2 armour and 9 health. However, though its attack power gets increased to 3, it does not get any new abilities at its max level.

Last but not least, I think this is an awesome and very powerful monster, but the only negative thing about this mobster is its reckless ability. I really like its high magic attack + enrage ability combo, with which it can send devastating damage to the opponent’s monsters directly to their health. Overall, it's a great piece of card and should be in your collection if you want to stay competitive. What do you think?
