SPLINTERLANDS | This Healer monster from Rebellion is one of its kind

What’s up my fellow Splinterlands Players!

I hope all of you are spending an awesome day with your friends and family and also waiting for the weekend to come soon. For those who play splinterlands, I hope by now all of you have claimed your season rewards and opened your hard-earned season reward chests and don’t forget to tell me what’s the best thing you received in the last season from those reward chests. Well, another ranked season has started already and right now we have around 13 days and 17 hours more in hand before this ongoing ranked season meets its end, so I hope you all have already started working hard on that. For me, I have also started warming up on the battlefield and while I am playing right now with my focus fully devoted to those reward chests and not giving much attention to my trophy count snd on the other hand, I am also playing tournaments and preparing myself for the next upcoming brawl. Last season though I was successful in somehow securing a spot in the top 10 leaderboard spot at the champion league for myself, but sadly I couldn't reach my other season goal of collecting 100 season reward chests so this time, I am focusing upon that since the beginning, as it is easier to me to increase my trophy count that collecting reward chests. Right now I am playing at Champion II tier with a current trophy count of 4029 and till now, I have only been able to collect 21 season chests so far but having another 13 days in hand, I think I can reach my goal before the season end, but only if I don't get killed mercilessly after reaching the top most tier of Champ I.

On the other hand, the Rebellion cards are appearing more and more against me, not only in ranked matches but in tournaments as well and it is getting harder day by day to predict my opponent’s strategy or to compete against rebel cards, as I don't own a full collection of rebel cards yet. But I have already got some high-level rebel cards in my scholar account and I always try to practice with them and place them in my lineup whenever I get a chance. In today’s post, I am going to showcase one such match where I used one of my favorite Rebel cards in a tournament match and scored a good victory. So without any further delay, let us start..

MERIPUT MAGICIAN

As you have seen in the thumbnail already, today I will be talking about the Rebellion monster MERIPUT MAGICIAN in this post. Meriput is one of the very few healer cards that you will find in Rebellion Edition cards and for the same reason, its popularity is getting increased day after day. This monster belongs to the life element and it is a common type card that needs a total of 400 BCX cards to be upgraded to max level. This monster card costs 5 mana to be used in battles and its attack type is magic. Apart from having a decent magic attack and speed and a large amount of health, this monster also carries 3 abilities at max level - Tank Heal, Shield and Strengthen which certainly makes this monster very defensive. Let us now take a further look at its level-wise stats and abilities below.

Bronze

At level 3, this monster possesses 1 magic attack at 4 speed with 6 health along with the Tank heal ability that it gets from its initial level. So even at the bronze level, this monster will be very helpful and will allow you to make healer-friendly lineups because with the Tank Heal ability it can now heal a portion of the damaged health of your front monster.

Silver

When this monster reaches level 5, it gets the same stat as of level 3 and receives another ability. It carries the same 1 magic attack at 4 speed with 6 health but from level 5 it gets the Shield ability. With the shield ability, it will now take less damage from melee and ranged monsters.

Gold

When you upgrade this monster to level 8, it receives 1 magic attack at 5 speed with 8 health along with those 2 abilities that mentioned above. The increased stats will help him to stand alive for a longer period before going down while attacking faster than before.

Diamond / Champion

When this monster reaches its final level 10, it possesses the same set of stats as of level 8 - 1 magic attack at 5 speed with 8 health but it does get a new ability - strengthen. With this new ability, it will now add +1 health to all the friendly monsters including itself.

Battle Link

It was a medium 32 mana limit match with 4 elements active for this battle - Earth, Life, Death and Dragon and there were 3 rulesets applied in this match - Armoured Up ( all monsters receive +2 armour), Taking Sides (no neutral monsters can be used) and Melee Mayhem (melee attack monster can attack from any position).

In this match, I chose the Dragon Summoner Lily Shieldpaw by selecting Life element and as for my lineup, I chose the Vruz followed by Inevitable, Albahoo Forester, Meriput Magician, Celestial Harpy and Venari Crystalsmith at the end position. As the match got revealed, I found out my opponent has chosen the Quix summoner and in his lineup, he chose the Pelacor Conjurer followed by Chaos Knight, Vulguine, Jared Scar, Time Mage and Adelade Brightwing at his end position.

It was an intense match and I was pretty confused about who will win this one in the end. But Gladly, the Inevitable and Magician combo worked greatly in this match where Inevitable was healing magician and vice versa. The duo became so powerful that they alone did most of the job and I easily took down those enemy monsters and won this match at the last.

I hope you loved watching the match that I shared and talked about above and also liked reading my post. Do you also own this monster or play against it on the battlefield? Let me know in the comments below and I will be seeing you all in my next post.

Wish you all good luck on all of your future Splinterlands matches.

Nice report and good summarize of the abilities of this card. Sadly the Meriput Magician has the same issue as many Rebellion cards. It just makes no sense to level them into max.

Having the Magician on L8 is enough. Some would even say L5 or 6. Spending another 180 BCX just to get strengthen as an ability makes no financial sense in my opinion.

What do you think about this?
