What’s up my fellow splinterlands lovers!

I hope you all are having an amazing day while battling your way up in the rankings as only 11 days left for this current season to end. As I said in my last post, I have successfully reached Diamond III today after playing a few ranked matches and now will try to reach Diamond II before my day ends. The splinterlands team on the other hand is selling chaos packs with good speed and already 7.691 million chaos packs has been sold already with another 308k packs left to airdrop the next character.

Now, it’s time to take my daily peak at the current scenario of crypto market. The market dominator BTC is currently facing a downtrend and it’s being traded at $42,457 with a -4.2% price change in last 24 hours. The ETH is following the BTC path as usual and currently being traded for 2,805$ with a -5.1% price change in last 24 hours. Our dear HIVE is also lost its hold above 1$ and currently being sold for 0.968$.

However, The splinterlands token market is doing well despite of the red market. The main in-game token DEC is pretty stable above 0.003$ and currently being sold for 0.00343$ per unit with -1.75% change in last 24 hours. The SPS aka Splintershards are currently being traded for 0.130$ with a -4.3% price change in last 24 hours. The vouchers seems to be stable at 1.17$ currently and waiting for another promotion to pump it up.

KULU SWIMHUNTER

image-removebg-preview.png

Now, let is move towards my theme as today, I will be showcasing a new brutal attacker of splinterlands, KULU SWIMHUNTER!

Kulu swimhunters are the most fierce group of Squid like 🐙 creatures that lives deep under the ocean and hunts in group. Unlike all other normal squids, they also have muscular hands and legs just like human. While most animals hunt for food, these creatures have made it their favourite sport because that’s what they do all day all night.

image.png

KULU SWIMHUNTER is a common type card that belongs to the water realm. It costs 4 mana to use in the battlefield and it’s attack type is range. Now, let us first take a look at it’s stats level wise.

Bronze

At level 3, this monster possesses 2 range attack at 3 speed with 5 health. Thou, it does not contain any abilities, it’s attack and defence stat justifies the mana cost.

Silver

At level 5, it gets 2 range attack at 4 speed with 6 health. Not so strong in silver in respect of attack power, but it does get more speed and health.

Gold

At level 8, it gets 3 range attack at 5 speed with 6 health. Having a monster with 3 range attack at fold tier will surely help in you in Range friendly matches.

Diamond/Champion

At level 10, it possesses 4 range attack at 5 speed with 6 health. Deadly attack, fast speed with decent health - isn't that clarifying it’s hunter status already?

Market Stat

image.png

KULU SWIMHUNTER is currently being sold in the splinterlands market for 0.045$ per bcx onwards and will cost you 13.29 DEC.

SPINEBACK TURTLE

image.png

I used the the Spineback Turtle at the first position of my lineup and I chose this monster mainly because of it’s high shield + health combo with defensive stats. I am using a level 10 here and it has 3 melee attack at 2 speed with 5 armour and 7 health along with the Thorns ability.

ELECTRIC EELS

image.png

I chose the Electric Eels at the second position of my lineup and I selected it mainly because of it’s high speed melee attack with blast 💥 power. I am using a level 8 here and it has 3 melee attack at 6 speed with 7 health along with Reach and Blast ability.

ELVEN MYSTIC

image.png

I chose the Elven Mystic at the third position of my lineup and I chose this monster mainly because of it’s decent magic attack with anti magic stance. I am using a level 8 here and it has 2 magic attack at 4 speed with 5 health along with Silence and Affliction ability.

ANGELIC MANDARIN

image.png

I chose the Angelic Mandarin at the 4th place of my lineup and chose it mainly because of its special Healing ability. I am using a level 8 here and it has 2 range attack at 4 speed and 7 health along with Triage and Silence ability.

TOWER GRIFFIN

image.png

I chose the Tower Griffin at the fifth position of my lineup and I chose it mainly because of its protect ability. I am suing a level 8 here and it has 2 range attack at 4 speed with 6 health along with Flying and Protect ability.

KULU SWIMHUNTER

image.png

I chose the KULU SWIMHUNTER at the last position of my lineup and I chose it mainly because of its high powered range attack. I am using a level 10 here and it has 4 range attack at 5 speed with 6 health.

Match Result

image.png

well, It was a 46 mana limit match this time but with little leagues and Super Sneak ruleset. Both water and Dragon summoner were available so I chose Selenia summoner with water splinter. My opponent however chose Earth summoner Lynna Natura and he went with multiple magic cards against me. He chose the Failed summoner at front, followed by Enchanted Defender, Spirit Shaman, Wood Nymph, Doctor Blight and Earth elemental at the end. He chose to attack me with multiple magic cards but luckily I was prepared with 2 silence monsters.

image.png

At the first round, my Eel attacked first and damaged both the elemental and the doctor. The KULU attacked next and brought damage to the enemy failed summoner. The enemy shaman attacked afterwards and damage + stunned my Turtle. My Elven attacked next and damaged the failed one, but got magic reflect damage in return. The enemy nymph attacked next and damaged my turtle. My mandarin attacked afterwards and finally killed the Failed summoner. The enemy elemental attacked next and damaged the turtle’s shield, folowed by the defender’s hit and at last, the enemy doctor attacked my turtle and applied both poison and affliction on it.

image.png

At round 2, my my front defence turtle was only having 3 health left but I had taken down the opponent’s front defence. My eel again attacked fist and damaged the elemental and doctor again with it’s blast ability. The KULU attacked next and damaged the defender’s shield down to 2. The enemy shaman attacked next and killed down my turtle. Afterwards, I also killed down the defender but the enemy doctor again applied poison and affliction onto my eel which was at first position that moment.

image.png

At round 3, my eel attacked first again and took down the divine shield from the shaman. The KULU attacked next and brought the shaman’s health down to 2. Next, my Elven successfully killed down the shaman but all my monsters got 1 damage because of it’s redemption ability. Together my mandarin and griffin took the nymph but the doctor applied the affliction again onto my elven.

image.png

At round 4, my KULU attacked first and brought down the doctor’s health down to 5. My elven attacked next and reduced that to 3. Next, my mandarin attacked and finally killed down the doctor. Only earth elemental was left now which got taken care afterwards by my hungry warriors.

As you can see in this match, the KULU is a fantastic fighter and a wonderful warrior in real battles without any doubt. Thou he is lacking abilities, his high powered range attack at high speed for just 4 mana cost is making him very special in small and medium mana matches as it was a little league ruleset match, I took care all type of incoming attacks with enough shield + silence monsters in this match. The kulu helped my multiple time here with it’s high powered attacked where either it broke the tough shields from enemy cards or damaged them hard. Because of having 5 speed, he was attacking just after my eel so that’s a great advantage too. I am sure that now you are starting to love this awesome monster as well, am I right?

I hope you liked my post and the match as well, that I showcased today. If you have used the KULU in ranked matches or in tournaments, please let me know about your experience with this card and I will be seeing you all in my next post.

Wish you all good luck on all of your future Splinterlands matches.

Thanks for visiting my post.

Stay well and keep playing Splinterlands.

@mango-juice - I am relegated to earning from Splinterlands through investing in token dividends, because I’m not a gamer; but posts like these are hard not to try and learn 👍🏽

I shared it on ListNerds

The games are faster than I can keep up. Kulu looks interesting but I am not sure my 74-year-old brain can keep up with all the complex games out there. Thanks for the explaination.
