More Power $ to Content Creators #2 – Delegating Hive Power and SPT
In previous post More Power $ to Content Creators – An invitation!, I invited everyone to follow my "Curation Trail" of Splinterlands, and explained how beneficial it can be for everyone!
But, I owed a quick tutorial on the other option: delegating the power to vote!
So, no fuss… Let's get down to business!
Delegating SPT
As I said, one of the ways to help me increase the rewards for each Splinterlands post that is created is by delegating SPT to my account.
And if you want to combine your voting power with mine, the process is very simple. But if you still don't know how it works, here it goes:
The interface chosen was SplinterTalk in dark mode, but you can use other platforms on Hive to do the same procedure. One of these is [Hive-Engine](https: //hive-engine.com).
On the SplinterTalk website, click "login".
Then enter your profile name, and click "login with keychain".
After that, authorize the login to your wallet.
Inside the SplinterTalk website that you can access here (or another one you have chosen), you will look for your wallet.
On this site, you will be able to find your wallet by clicking on your profile name, or the little arrow next to it.
From here, SplinterTalk becomes a little different from the others, as the first balances you will find are from the SPT token.
In "SPT", you will click on the little arrow to open the menu, and then click on "Stake":
When a "pop-up" appears, enter the amount you want to freeze or drag the slider to set the percentage.
Make sure your username appears, and click "Stake".
And once again, confirm the transaction.
Going back to the wallet, you will find the option "SPT Power".
Click on your balance and then "Delegate".
A popup will appear with your balance.
Under "Amount", enter or choose the percentage of your stake you want to send to me.
Don't worry: these tokens are still yours.
Enter my username (marianaemilia) as shown in the image below, and click "Delegate".
Once this is done, confirm the transaction using your Keychain.
Again: don't worry about doing this. The tokens remain yours and you will be able to remove the delegation in the future.
Delegating HP
It may be that it has a slight bug in the icon, as shown in the image below. But in the case of the mobile app, it is the yellow button.
In the popup that appears, verify your username, and click/tap the "Balance" button if you want to freeze all your Hives, or enter the amount you want to use.
But be careful: keep in mind that this amount will take about 3 months to thaw!
Just use the Hives that won't be needed!
Once that's done, click/tap "Send" to confirm the transaction.
Back on the wallet home page, click on "Hive Power".
In the submenu, click "Delegate" as shown in the image below.
Next, enter my username, and then enter how much of your voting power you intend to delegate.
Once that's done, just click once more on "Send" to confirm the transaction.
Final considerations
As I mentioned I have more than 1 million SPT staked.
I chose this token because it is already part of the Splinterlands ecosystem (where it is still part of the SPS airdrop score).
In addition, this token is completely liquid for the recipient. This means that content creators will be able to use it as soon as they receive it, being able to exchange it for tokens or cryptos like Hive or SPS.
But if you prefer, you can delegate me other tokens like Oneup too, or follow my trail even without having SPT!

And of course: you can take back all the voting power you delegated to me at any time if you change your mind.
So fear not: the tokens and rewards for your help are still yours!

Ótimo poste Mariana... Já tinha visto há muito tempo essa função de stake do SPT e HIVE, mas essa parte de delegação do poder de voto nunca tinha entendido direito....
