Welcome Splinter fans! I am pleased to present another nice battle...

This episode's battle was tough

In fact, I even have regrets about my monsters' positioning. It's so obvious now, I'm actually angry because of it. Let's get to the details.

Spoiler alert. I should have moved cave slug into position 3 instead.

Note that this battle has Blast and No Epic/Legendary Monsters rules.

Things start off really well as my Shieldbearer repels ranged attacks while getting sustained by Truthspeaker and my summoner's repair ability.

Feral Spirit pounces at their backliners. The opposing team is taking damage, while mine isn't. Smooth. Except for my divine healer, which ends up dying in the first turn. She never even had a chance to heal Shieldbearer.

The fact that Divine Healer died without doing anything really worries me. I've wasted 3 mana on a meat shield that did nothing in battle. I was hoping triage would save her.

Gladly, Feral Spirit continues pouncing on enemy backliners until they're no more. Thanks to my Cave Slug who gained a lot of health, I survive the assault on Nectar Queen.

But you know what? Things could have been easier. If I picked something else other than Divine Healer, my position 2 would have been useful. She couldn't deal with all the splash damage.

Weirdly enough, Baby Unicorn would have been a better choice, since it has strengthen, which would give my tank an additional hp, something very important when it comes to surviving and healing when it has taunt.

After all, Shieldbearer's health would remain the same if its max hp would get reduced, instead of losing life along with the debuff. She would also get more health for the next attack before Unicorn is killed, therefore mitigating 2 damage in total.

Unicorn would also have lasted a little bit longer, since it would have the same health as Divine Healer, but it also gets Divine Shield.

There aren't many 3-mana monsters out there that could replace Divine Healer. Unicorn would be the only one to prove more effective as a direct replacement in this battle.

But the worst problem was my Cave Slug's placement.

My tank has taunt and my summoner has triage, so my backline is getting healed no matter what. If I chose position 3 for my Cave Slug, she would have gotten at least 2 additional health and Truthspeaker's Protection armor.

As the enemy team died off, Slug would get even more health. So... Big numbers when Triage is used.

The only reason Shieldbearer died is because Truthspeaker died. But that would never have been the case if Cave Slug sat before Truthspeaker, protecting her from blasts, but surviving thanks to high health and Triage.

It wouldn't have been a close call. My Shieldbearer would have stayed alive for the whole battle. So I've learnt Scavenger ability monsters in Blast battles are amazing combined with a Taunt frontliner if I can get Triage on them.

Even though my positioning wasn't perfect, Cave Slug was still of the star of this battle, so it deserves praise.
