Khmer Princess. Splinterlands Fam-Art For Weekly Art Contest - 276.
Hello Everyone
How are you?
I hope you're doing well and leading a sound life. I bring you another one of my artwork today. This one is also a digital drawing fan art of a monster of Splinterlands. I drew this one to participate in the weekly art contest arranged by @splinterlands. I'll add the link to the contest at the end. Check it out if you feel interested. I'll be sharing the process of my drawing in this post. About my tools and how I drew a fan art version of the original card that is quite different from the original.
The monster I drew today is named Khmer Princess. I used my laptop, graphics tablet, stylus drawing touch pen, and a drawing software named ibis Paint. I'll attach both my drawing and the original image below and you can check it out. I'll also add the link to the contest at the end of my post. So, let's get started:-
My Drawing
Original Image
The process began by drawing the structure for the drawing. I used the 2B pencil tool to draw it. After drawing the basic structure, I drew the small details like her lips, eyes clothes, etc. Now, it's time to start putting on the colors.
Then I started to put the primary color first and then added other color layers to visualize the true skin tone. I began with her face. So, after adding the primary colors, I focused on her eyebrows and then on her eyes. Then her lips. Her facial skin tone may look kind of weird to you because of the darker color shades on the edges. But, it'll match the nature of the character once I reach the final steps.
Now it's time to focus on the skin tone of her body. And I started with her chest, First I put the primary sharing layer over the primary color and then added many smaller layers to draw the curves and shades. Especially on the parts of her breasts and armpits. I also drew her hands and nails fully this time.
Then I drew her hair using the oil brush tool. I drew it in 3 separate layers using different colors and then added a few more strokes on the last step. All these were to blend in the colors and make it look realistic.
Then I drew her dress. Drawing her dress took me some time but adding the details to it such as the design with small details took me a hell of a time. And after that, I drew the fire orb on her hand.
Final Image
And with some final touches and the newly added background, here is my final image:-
Drawing this image really took a lot of time, especially for the hair and the complicated dress design. So, I hope you like it. And I'd love to see your thoughts about it in the comment section.
