Splinterlands Fan Art: Zyriel.

Hello Everyone
How are you?
I hope you're doing well and leading a sound life. I bring you another one of my artwork today. This one is also a digital drawing fan art of a monster of Splinterlands. I drew this one to participate in the weekly art contest arranged by @splinterlands. I'll add the link to the contest at the end. Check it out if you feel interested. I'll be sharing the process of my drawing in this post. About my tools and how I drew a fan art version of the original card that is quite different from the original. I hope you like my version.

The monster I drew today is named Zyriel. I used my laptop, graphics tablet, stylus drawing touch pen, and a drawing software named ibis Paint. I'll attach both my drawing and the original image below and you can check it out. I'll also add the link to the contest at the end of my post. So, let's get started:-

My Drawing

I started by drawing the primary structure of her body shape first. It took me quite some time to draw this one. Cause this one is the most crucial part of a drawing and the whole outcome of the drawing depends on it. Also, this was the step where I needed to determine what would be the outcome of the whole drawing and make the shape for that outcome.

And after I was done with the primary outcome, I added the details that would help me decorate the drawing.

And then came the colouring part. I started by adding the primary colours on her skin. I first put a faded colour on the structure and then fixed the layers to blend it in. And then I started working on her facial details. I started that by drawing her eyes and I also added two red lines to give her the evil vibe. And after that, I added some colour layers to bring out the skin tone of her face.

And then I started Working on her skin tone. I started by adding a lighter colour layer above the primary colour layer I put on earlier. I kept the transparency of that colour at 60% so that it blends in easily. I used the spray brush tool and added some darker parts to it too. This was to bring out the shades and curves of her body.

After that, I started drawing her hair. I first drew some random strokes of a few mixed colours with a bold brush and then blended them to bring out the primary result of the drawing. And after that, I used a smooth brush at lower transparency to add the details.

Then began the drawing of her dress part. I started by adding the primary colour on her dress part by part first. And then added the small details like small parts with other colours and deep colours to visualize the shadows and dark parts. And after all that, I finally added the light colour layers to make it look shining and glossy.

And then I drew the magical crown on her head. And started drawing her wings. As you may noticed, the sketch had a cloke on her but I decided to erase it. It's because, when I tried to draw the cloke with wings, it didn't seem logical and was impossible for me to blend those two and make it look good enough. I guess removing that part was a good decision. Drawing and decorating the bones on her wing took quite some time but they surely took the whole drawing to another level.

And now at the last step, I drew the blood weapon on her hand. Isn't she a gorgeous but scary creature?
