Why Frontier Is the Best League for New Players in Splinterlands (Low Budget or Free-to-Play)

🎮 Why I Believe Frontier Is the Best League Right Now for Low-Budget Players

I want to share an honest opinion based on real experience, not theory.

In my view, Frontier is currently the best league for new players or players without a big budget in Splinterlands. Even someone playing for free, with dedication and good performance, can actually earn cards and turn them into DEC if they want.

⚔️ Why Modern Is Not Beginner-Friendly

Modern format requires real investment to be competitive.

In Bronze III, which is supposed to be the lowest league, you often face players with highly leveled cards. I’m not exaggerating — this season I played with level 2 and 3 summoners and some of my own cards, and I couldn’t even make it to Bronze II.

That means one thing:
👉 If you want to progress in Modern, you almost always have to put money in.

🐉 Wild League: Powerful, but Not for Everyone

Wild lets you use all cards, which sounds great… but:

You must pay 2000 DEC every season just to enter

You need a large amount of SPS staked (or rented) to earn SPS

If you lose battles, you earn nothing

For a new player or someone without strong cards and SPS, Wild is not profitable.

🌱 Why Frontier Makes Sense

Frontier is different.

You can earn cards

Those cards CAN be sold

You can get DEC and reinvest however you want

With some luck and consistency, you can reach Silver or even Gold

And this is not theory — this is what happened to me.

💎 My Results in Just a Few Days

I’ve been playing Frontier for less than a week, and already earned:

2–3 Epic cards

Several Rare summoners

1 Legendary card (even if it’s a cheap one, it still has value)

Some Gold Foil commons

Just today, from daily rewards alone, I pulled:

2 Epics

1 Rare summoner

I checked the lowest market prices, listed them slightly below market, and that’s almost 800 DEC in a single day.

Yesterday I also earned:

1 Legendary

1 solid Epic

I’ll show the cards below so you can see exactly what I’m talking about.

🧠 My Honest Conclusion

For players who:

Don’t have much SPS

Don’t have highly leveled cards

Don’t want to invest hundreds of dollars

👉 Modern and Wild don’t make much sense right now

Frontier, on the other hand, rewards time, performance, and a bit of luck, and lets you actually cash out value, something you can’t do with reward cards in Modern or Wild.

Right now, I’m seriously considering selling my old cards to focus more on Frontier and Modern, and that’s a discussion I want to open in another post.

💬 What Do You Think?

This is just my experience and opinion.
I’d really like to hear yours:

Do you think Frontier is the best option right now?

Would you sell old cards to focus on it?

Or do you still believe Modern or Wild is the way?

Thanks for reading, and I wish you all great battles, good rewards, and many valuable cards. 🍀🔥
