Modern 5% vs Wild 95%

In the last Town Hall there was an interesting discussion regarding activities between modern and wild. The stat at the time was 5% of all battles occurred in modern while 95% were in wild. Of course Wild is mostly swarmed with bots but to see over 95% being bots seems a bit disappointing if true.

In the case that there are a lot of activities because of bots then it would mean in my personal opinion there isn’t enough authentic demand.

The more bots there are being active to cover would mean real active players are few and far between. Of course watching and playing the game daily I don’t necessary feel that way but I don’t regularly see the overall picture since I am down in the trenches most of the time.

My reason to play in wild is mainly because majority of my collection can only be played in wild.

Yet to play among so many bots it’s just makes it seem less attractive as a whole. Why do I want to only play with computers if I do that why not just play a console video game?

I didn’t quite feel Matt’s answer to the concerning numbers as a good way to push for more adoption of the game. Let the players vote for DAO to make changes if needed. Yet in plain site we all are seeing is that majority of activity are bots. This only makes the game less popular because players may feel their gameplay is trumped by the Algos. Then why even bother playing.

I think it goes beyond distribution of rewards or that bots simply being minimized on how much they can earn. Instead I see that the activities the game is posting is really effecting only a few real players. The whole premises of having a successful game I would think is to have a lot of real players playing. Lack of players leads to lack of demand and in turn likely lack of investments. Am I thinking wrong here?
