My first take on Glint.



Now a few days into the latest rewards system I must say I still need a lot of time to get adjusting to it. Now that there is no limit on raising in leagues one can quickly boost into higher leagues and get into losing streaks more often than not.

The times of staying in the same league is over and that is going to take time getting use to. Even when playing my alt account I am nearly in diamond league even though I mainly have level three and below cards.

In the new reward format we have yet to see daily tasks similar to what we had in the past with focus. In terms of rewards it feels difficult to earn a lot of glint unless one is playing at top tier level matches.

For me I sit in middle of diamond and getting around 270 glint per a win. The sps earnings is better with over two sps per win. In past seasons I was getting on average 1.5 sps per win.

The rewards shop has a range of options but some prizes are simply out of most players reach. Still there are players out there who have already achieve them which makes me wonder why do I even try playing? As much of three players already purchased the most expensive item in the shop, a title, at the time of 5 million glint!

I barely got 15k glint this week all combined so really just how much better are those players? This is insane amount separation among the players.

I am more looking towards potential offers that makes the shop attractive. Maybe Splinterland’s makes promo seasons where only for limited time players can purchase specials or limited discounts on items.

On the battle side it appears to work the way it does. There are more earned sps per win but the glint does not seem to equate the same as reward chests.

Take for example 5k glint reward card and its odds of pulling anything decent is still per odds. The odds do not persuade me into wanting to spend it on one item when smaller cost rewards have similar odds.

Just compare it to 1k glint reward card odds it is not that bad. As if these really are bronze to champion odds it may make it better for players to purchase similar rating cards than to try to shoot for the moon. I may get disappointed with the pulls at 5k each versus more pulls at 1k.

I probably will wait until end of season to make my first glint purchase as there appears to be a reasonable stash for each of us waiting at the end of the season. Wonder how much that will factor in on cards pulls if players congregate in purchases at end of the season. Similar to how we open chests at the end of the season will the rewards lessen?

I'll be honest, I do miss the chests a bit but I think in the long run people will prefer being able to buy what they want with Glint. Especially once the team starts adding more to the shop.

Yeah takes some time getting use to just like how rewards were rolled back in previous iterations.

Right now I'm missing the chests each day. There just feels like something is missing to makig you want to come back daily. That might pass though and it seems like there will be a decent amount of glint for end of season but it feels less overall for some reason?

I agree and only think motivating me is not have my energy bar filled at 50 but definitely not great as the daily chests. I am hoping the store rewards will be good enough for us to stack glint.

I have a similar outlook to things and I kind of like the chests more. I find that its more expensive now to get rewards and I don't think the higher tier card drops are worth it until the price of basic ones increase. Also, what are you doing with your potions? I stopped them from being used for reward shop pulls. I don't think its worth it when it cost glint to get them now.
