Splinterlands - DEC depegged, What Next?
Courtesy of Peakmonsters.com the chart shows both SPS and DEC falling in price. SPS is falling faster but DEC is trending the same.
My take on this is to hold my DEC as it is undervalue. DEC is designed to be pegged at $0.001 but right now it is falling down to $0.0008.
There is the benefit of cards falling in value in dollar terms as the price of DEC falls, but it will take more DEC to purchase the same cards. Again another reason I am holding my DEC for the long haul as it will take more DEC to purchase cards.
The lower DEC price may lead to less activity in the game and in turn more rewards for the remaining players? I say this as there are signs that the signs are there. Less accounts active.

This drop on the number of players is just bots that aren't updated to the new reward system, or players that already have workable bots but are analyzing the data in order to optimize their bot usage (eg rentals, best league to maximize earnings, etc.). I imagine that in a few weeks the numbers will be back to what it was before.

I stopped looking at the splinterlands tokens prices a long time ago, they always seem, no matter how low they fall, to be wins at the end.

Better to keep playing than looking at numbers. When splinterlands 10x that will be good time to look at prices again.
I think just buy the cards is easier. I'm been stacking up on DEC and it's just dip. I suppose it's the same for all altcoins too. I still buy the SPS token, somehow I prefer DEC more !

While the number of active players decrease, the number of battle is back on par. That means lesser people but people are playing more battle per account, which can be a good sign.

I think it will also decrease the players playing because lower DEC prices also mean lower DEC available in the prize pool. The new reward system just took place recently so it just depends on how things will change based on that.

That is it the less people playing the more rewards for fewer players.

Definitely a good plan. I did that last time before splinterlands moon in July 2021. It could happen again.
Right now it is down to $0.00074. I think it is going to $0.0005 at that point it might be a buy if you want to get some discounted packs from the Splinterlands store...

Yes, currently it is 0.00072 and seems trying to recover, I think Splinterlands team will try to stablilize it, otherwise the $4 value pack will become $2.8. Cheap wow! Should I buy one more pack.

Might sell my expsive cards buy a bunch of packs for airdrops likely get cards back or buy validators and sps as Dec will be not as valuable after the airdrop ends and spt may take hot but the other uses will keep it up. Land v lidators and sps and spt are probably the best inv now as well as packs

Dark days! Now that DEC is getting so low in value, I've been buying more packs. It's not all bad. Now is just the time to buy and HODL. The lower things go, the more panic sells there will be. People who just stay the course will be rewarded more and more with every dip they continue to buy through. I mean, probably. And this is not financial advice. My attorney Saul Goodman said I had to say that. haha.
