Hands down my favorite splinter is none other than dragon splinter. The splinter has the most legends of any splinterlands and some of the most lucrative cards in value out of the entire game. Today I get to show you a battle I have using a nearly full dragon formation. Enjoy...

Battle Formations

In what turns out to be a mid level mana of 32 and rule sets of Explosive and Spreading Fury it is clear to me that I wanted to go on the offensive in my formation. With that I went with Dragon Splinter's Daria and fire splinter. In reality I was trying to get the least amount of mana for a tanker so Cerberus fit well. Follow up with Manticore, Dragon Jumper, Gold Dragon, Fire Spitter, and ending with Naga Assassin. A true dragon formation would be to have a dragon tanker too but with this I consider pretty solid representation of a dragon formation.

My opponent on the other hand went with water splinter and had a very decent formation themselves. They started off with Djinn Oshannus follow up with Phantom of the Abyss, Coral Wraith, Mischievous Mermaid and ending with Ice Pixie. A total focus on magic attack and using some of the top water magic monsters this I must say is a decent competitor.

Round 1

I like to mention that with so much attack from both sides that the match actually ended in one round. Whether this was a good thing or bad to me it did not matter. What matter was I got out with the win. The explosive rule set produce massive damage on both sides but I prevailed in a convincing victory. Here I breakdown the one round into parts.

It is by the middle of round 1 that the first casualty was on opponent side with Coral Wraith. However right after that immediately my Cerberus would be knocked off.

Manticore then annihilated both Djinn and Phantom in one blow. The explosive rule set definitely gave me a big advantage as the melee boost simply amplified the blast damage.

Fire Spitter deliverer's the final blow and knocks out both the Mermaid and Ice Pixie.

In the conclusion all dragon monsters on my side remain alive at the end of the battle and I only lost Cerberus. If Cerberus was a dragon card maybe someway it would have had better stats and survived the battle too.

Conclusions

The explosive rule set was key to my swift victory. Of course spreading fury help the cause but the blast really damage my opponents monsters beyond able to retaliate. Doing additional damage on the monster with blast based on melee attack divided by two rounding up meant all my front melee monsters were inflicting 2 to 3 damage on my opponents on top of the actual melee attack.

In total the dragons stood strong and dominated against the fierce water splinter's magic. I would also like to add that my formation had more upper level monsters giving me the advantage. All in all the battle was quick and aggressive just like how dragons are suppose to attack.
