Splinterlands - How Chao Legions Has Effected Card Holders So Far?
It has been only a day since Chao Legions has arrived but I was curious how much the cards have effected the cards ecosystem. Chart at the front of the post is the current net worth of players within a specific price range. The $100 to $1000 range seems to be rising the most as there is now close to 30k players within this range. Most of the current cards that are added to player's collections are actually from the rewards cards of Chaos Legion.
Just having a deck worth over $10k is already making you a top 1% richest in Splinterlands in terms of cards. That would be a total of 2,802 accounts currently at the top 1%, out over 335k accounts that actually own cards.
The new Chao Legions cards will only increase the total quantity of cards in circulation. It is interesting to see that currently the first two years of the game there has only been 7.5 million cards in circulation while the last three months or so there has over another 7.5 million cards in circulation for a total of 15 million plus in circulation.
It is clear that the bulk of the increase in cards circulation is from the rewards cards based on the chart above. It is then safe to assume as the Chao Legion packs continues its sale would also expand the total cards in circulation.
What is standing out to me is that a lot of the cards are not being merged to become higher level cards which in turn is making the total cards in circulation so high. In time I wonder will players merge cards together while adding more cards through packs and rewards cards. Time will tell.
Until next time thanks for reading!!!
