Splinterlands - Inside View of A Guild Brawl

Today draws the conclusion to another brawl and I have participated in it with my guild of over a year, Team Possible Power. Here is my experience of this last Guild brawl.

Guild Brawl Page

For this past brawl my Fray was in bronze Alpha & Beta. I came out 6 wins and 3 loses and 3 of those wins came from fleeing opponents.

My guild ended up in third and each guild member who participated in the brawl each earned 2,925 merit and as a whole the guild earned 52 crown. With that I am able to purchase a Gladius case.

Battles Selections In Brawls

image.png

Each brawl encompasses 10 guilds ranging with in the same tier. Then each guild has 15 frays for 15 guild members to join. Each fray depending on how many participants equates to how many battles to be fought. For me my fray selected there where all 10 guilds had bronze alpha and beta filled. This meant I had to handle 9 battles. The less participants in a fray the less battles each participant will have to play.

Although it does not matter whether I play 9 battles or less all the guild members will end up the same rewards in merits each. What will matter is the more wins I get it will help the overall guild total points. The final results are aggregate of all the players wins and losses as a guild compared to the other 9 guilds.

Brawl Tiers

image.png

Since my guild is in one of the higher tiers of brawls we have the opportunity to earn more merits and crowns. The higher tiers have to do with guild's investment in levels and buildings. Specific to earning more in brawls is having to upgrade Arena, Barracks and Store.

Snapshots above are my current guild's investments and the levels the buildings are currently at. For instance upgrading the Store will lead to the following increases in merits:

My guild technically is earning 140% more in merits for a level 8 store which is why we are getting more merits than typical.

Gladius Cases

The cost of a case is 2,000 merits and since I have enough for two, I had carried over merits saved from past brawls, I will proceed to purchase 2 cases and open my cases for this post.

image.png

Like the Chaos packs each case comes with 5 cards with at least one rare and the rest often commons.

My second case yielded much more than just a rare. It included a epic and gold foil common as you can see in pictures below. This I considered a great pack opening.

Conclusions

A brawl has usually 48 hours for sign up, and then 48 hours for assigning formations. The battles are setup play anytime mode. Once the time expires the results for the brawl will be accessible for 24 hours. After that it resets again with new brawl and the whole cycle repeats itself.

Gladius cards are held in the account that had earn and opened them. They can not be traded or sold. They can be burned for DEC but if held in the account they have collection point that is added to the player's overall total.

I have some good brawls and some bad brawls over the weeks but have gotten better in them since I have added more cards to my collection. The fray I really thrive best in is regular bronze alpha and beta series.

Until next time thanks for reading!!!

The other day when I found out less than 9k players hold merit I knew immediately not many have the opportunity to play brawls. Decided to share how it felt like to others. Thanks for dropping by.
