Splinterlands - Legacy Cards On Sale...

Those who have played the game long enough would know which cards would be the most sought after. In recent days I have seen some of the oldest reward cards falling back to levels it has not been in over a year. Is this a good time to buy?

Reward Cards

Even though players can earn reward cards on a daily basis not all reward cards are created equal. For those who are not aware one of the first ever legendary reward cards is Sacred Unicorn. The card being one of the first likely meant it is likely one of the most scarce reward cards in the game.

Presently Sacred Unicorn is selling for less than later legendary reward cards in Spirit Miner, Almo Cambio, The Kraken, and Ruler of The Seas. Now I would not say Sacred Unicorn is better than the other legendary cards listed, but it is interesting to see its demand has fallen quite a bit.

I believe one of the cause of the price drop is that the cards are under utilized. Since not many players have faced these limited cards it is causing sellers to sell at a discount to gain interest.

There are essentially close to 2,600 cards that can be potentially be used in game. What is surprising me is that it is below $10 per bcx. That too me is an opportunity....

There have been multiple new card series since Sacred Unicorn that has made the card not as strong as past times. Still there is some history in owning some of these legacy cards and its worth looking around to see what is out there.

Conclusions

Although in this post I mainly focus on Scared Unicorn it is an example that can be copied. There are other rarities reward cards that appear to be underappreciated but will be worth it for the long haul.

I recommend looking around the rewards section for all types of rarity card deals because you may not know what is out there until you see what you need as demand is falling. How much could prices fall from here is anyone's guess?
