Splinterlands My Take On Weapons Training

It may not look like a great ability on first appearance but after using Weapons Training I have changed my mind. In the following match we shall discuss why I think Weapons Training is a cool ability.

In a mid to low mana match my setup was similar to my opponents. We both used water splinter and had a decent amount of melee monsters. What was different was which monsters we picked.

I went with some high mana monsters which lead me to only hold three monsters. Meanwhile my went with a full six monster with a whole variety of abilities and melee attacks.

My combo of Noa The Just and Kulu Mastermind only came to be as the rule set only allowed odd numbers mana cards to be used. The restriction sort of forced me into putting the two together and I now do not regret it.

Essentially since my Kulu has four melee attack it provides two melee to Noa. Now not only Noa is a great tanker with dodge and magic reflect it can attack. This all can only happen if a monster has Weapons Training while the other monster receiving the attack stats have Training ability.

By the end of round one it was five monsters against three where I still was under dog. Of course quality matters more here as my opponent's tanker is nearly knocked out.

By the start of round three it was clear I had the upper hand even when the match was three versus three. My Noa was much more utilized than my opponent's and my was knocking out opponent's monsters while theirs was a sitting duck ready to be knocked out.

By the fifth round it is clear to see I would end with a victory here. To recap my combo of Noa and Kulu made the difference. If you are curious to watch the battle here is the link:

Just to add in high mana matches I believe if Kulu was not next to Noa it will still provide Noa with extra attack boost since Noa's Training ability.

Taking a quick look at other no attacking monsters in water it appears Baakjira and Kelp Initiate are very good picks to use in battles. Baakjira as tanker would really counter magic aggressively with the additional attack if used next to Kulu.

One other card that is available with Weapons Training that is tradable on the open market is no other than Zyriel.

I have not seen the card in action personal and do not own it, but after playing with Noa and Kulu there seems to be a worthy option out there to invest in for those who want to play with Weapons Training.

There are not many no attacking life and death monsters to play but would still be good options when adding in Zyriel.

Until next time thanks for reading!!!

Weapons training is a great ability to have and I have been wanting Kulu Mastermind for a while. I think it pairs up quite well with Noa and Possiblius.
