Why I Am Staking All My Earned SPT Tokens?

Ever since Hive broke over $2 a lot of second layer Hive tokens have fallen in value with respect to Hive. This included SPT. With that I have begun to stake all my earned SPT tokens and have started delegating to @monster-curator.

Those who are unfamilar with @monster-curator is missing out on what is likely the leading curation team on the Splintertalk tribe. With over 1.1 million SPT power and a staggering +27 million SPT power monster-curator is one of the leaders in SPT power. With my ongoing of approximately 25,000 SPT power staked to monster-curator I am currently earning around 20 SPT a day.

In fact as of this post writing it is number one in SPT power.

The team curates daily on Splinterlands posts and specific to posts on Splintertalks. It is advantageous to delegate to them to earn more liquid SPT.

The goal is to hit 100k SPT and to do that I am consistently posting about Splinterlands content and continouously delegating my SPT to monster-curator.

Advantages of Holding SPT

For those who play Splinterlands are aware currently the game has a daily airdrop of its governance token SPS. One way to earn SPS is to hold SPT in the account. Whether the player even plays Splinterlands or not won't matter as long as they hold SPT they can earn SPS. 4 SPT tokens whether staked or unstaked is equivalent to 1 airdrop point. Approximately 1,000 airdrop points will result in 1 sps given out to player on a daily basis. Therefore as of today as I am holding 25k SPT it equates to a little over 6 SPS earned daily just by having the SPT.

Beyond earning SPS airdrop tokens SPT has other utilities. Within the Splintertalk.io tribe users can spend SPT to purchase one of a kind Splintertalk's animated NFTS.

Not only can players use SPT to purchase NFTs they can also use it to provide a vote to proposals of other users in relation to deciding on whether an initiative will become true on Splintertalk.io.

Since SPT is a tradable token there is also the opportunity to earn rewards by providing the token into a pool in the form of liquidity.

With a daily earning in both SPS : SPT and ONEUP : SPT pools it would be advantageous to partake in the pools while holding on to the SPT tokens.

Conclusions

In the Splintertalk.io tribe players and fans of Splinterlands gets to talk about the game and related topics of the game for all to see. The tribe is strong and the value of SPT token continues to grow by the day. Whether earning more SPT through individual curating or delegating to monster-curator for passive income. Or invest SPT into liquidity pools and spending it to purchase NFTs there are multiple options to benefit from owning SPT tokens. Even earning daily airdrops just for holding SPT tokens.

Bottom line with price of SPT with respect to Hive near all time lows and the growth of Splinterlands game and community it makes sense to hold on to SPT tokens. I for one will be doing so until I have gather over 100k. From there I will decide on the next steps...
