Brawl Summary #08 - Clean sweep, but tier 2 :) | YGG GAP Summary

image.png

Hiya Splinterlanders :)

We had quite a difficult time in Splinterlands ecosystem. Downsizing, changing leader, but from the other side we have interesting news, Rebelion set is supposed to be introduced soon (I think it's nonsense to give any date, everyone knows it is impossible to predict anything in SPL :) ) And we should have new presale/airdrop system. I think that could be a really good thing after all that quite sad news.
Another annoying thing is the lack of new official tournaments, even more so after I checked my YGG Gap E-sport leaderboard points :(. But we will talk about it in future tournament summary articles.

Now let's jump to Brawls, today we drop to Tier 2, where with no so great collection I manage to get a clean sweep victory :) And of course, we will check our performance in YGG Gap Brawl stats.

Of course for all data stats I will use a very useful and simple tool . You can check the full summary and more details here.

Recently I usually put statistics and battles from Tier 4 Brawl, but today we got a much lower tier. I think it doesn't automatically mean that it's much easier. My collection of account that play in Brawl 2 is quite limited, so that's why it's still a challenge to get a full clean sweep Brawl. Finally, I did it, so let's check the details:

image.png

The first position, but it was so close. We tied with another guild in win battles, but we got much fewer losses, so that's why we secured the first position.

image.png

Only 6 battles, usually I got around 8-9, so maybe it was easier to get all those wins, 20 SPS, and 2k merits. Nothing spectacular, but it's just Tier 2

image.png

First position among the guildmates :) As you can see only the top 3 players got a quite decent win rate, so it's even more interesting that we got first there.

image.png

In YGG Fighting Illini we fight in Tier 3 brawl, I explained why in the last episode :). Another first position here, but my last 2 brawls weren't. the best

image.png

We have very skilled players, 2 players with 100% winrate, few more with only 1 loss.

image.png

My 5-2 wasnt the worst, but my goal of 80% is rather unreal now :(

Here we got performance for the brawls included in GAP season. My previous brawl wasn't the best, so now I think I just need to focus on staying above 60%, which shouldn't be difficult.

For today's battles, we got a few different bronze battles, two of them are with Captain Katie, a very strong card, but shhh, maybe let's not get ahead of ourselves.

image.png

The first battle, after I saw Captain Katie here I thought that the battle was lost. Fortunately, the opportunity team with high speed was enough to kill all units before Katie got more buff from her bloodlust skill. I'm a big fan of Isgald Vorst, and he is great with any other opportunity monster, even as you should know I'm rather skeptical about Deeplurker in Silver and lower leagues. Here it was enough, but I wasnt sure if 17 mana was not too low for that kind of team. Definitely need to test more that setup.

The second battle , we had another battle with Captain Katie in the opponent's team, but we got another very powerful card - Ketralba Gobson. Shatter in the first round was very painful, our Djinn Chwala lost almost all his defensive advantage - armor. Another battle when speed mattered a lot, and mostly because of that we could kill most damage dealers they became a big threat to our team. Katie for the second time wasnt good enough and was killed before any buff :)

The last battle, is maybe not very fair because the opponent played lower level Summoner, but I really wanted to present how strong could be Kelya magic team with another great gladiator card: Flagulone Reine.

image.png

With additional armor from the ruleset, magic was quite an obvious choice, the opponent's team wasn't the best choice that's why the battle ended like this:

image.png

We haven't lost any units, another speed advantage was the key here, and of course magic damage was the perfect counter to all those opponent's armor :).

Rebellion should be soon, maybe it will give more optimism to players, at least for a while :). I hope so, But the real question is when we can see any improvement, new features, and so many more things :). For sure any update around Brawl would be great, but I don't know if the team has enough resources to do it soon :(. What do you think, what could be a quick improvement in brawls which can give us some new experience?

I hope you like this kind of summary and battle presentation. More strategy analysis, discussion, and prediction games can be found on my Wednesday Twitch Channel stream. There will be a schedule soon :)

If you have any comments, please do not hesitate. Do you think I could improve anything just tell me :)
