Strategy Corner #38- Super Sneak Ruleset - The mind games ruleset.
Heya Splinterlanders :)
I think the first hype created around the new set of Rebellion is dimming slowly already. I mentioned in some article before, that could be a good idea to publish new cards with full stats from time to time. We got some new art of the cards, but similar action is practiced in other games and it allows you to maintain interest until the full publishment.
Back to today's topic, we got a very interesting and one of my favorite rulesets: Super Sneak. Without further ado, let's jump to the definition and my opinion on how we can approach it.
Description:
All melee units gain the Sneak ability.
Firstly, the description of the ruleset in the game is not perfect, sometimes you get just general information which does not give you all the information you need. The best way to read the full description as above from the game documentation at least once. You can check all here.
I seriously encourage you guys to check this site, even more advanced players could find something interesting there.
In my opinion, Super Sneak is one of those ruleset where all those small mind games are much more important than usual. There are several nice options to counter an opponent's setup and vice versa, and usually, it's not so easy to be prepared for everything. My favorite line-up is to avoid any melee units, so every counter from the opponent's backline monster is not so important. Of course, you need to be prepared for your opponent will do the same, or use any other tricks, there are so many possibilities. Additionally, the combo damage units with melee damage could be game breakers here, we will discuss more in the Core team section, but you need to keep it in mind.
Today's battle is quite an interesting Bronze tournament match versus one of the best tournament players in lower leagues.
Besides, Super Sneak rulesets, the rest of them make quite an intriguing combination, where Cripple in some way limits healing capabilities, but equalizer makes things even more complicated :).
I decided to go almost without any melee units, and with a great backline card Chaos Agenet (with equalizer that 1 mana card is amazing). Additionally, I bring a very powerful bronze meta card: Mitica Headhunter, Quora, and Kron - a very strong combination.
Opponents chose a different strategy, the summoner with reflect magic seemed quite strong, but it was a risky move. Orc is great as a super sneak target and could be a big problem for our Quora. Let's check how it went.
Round 3, because we got quite interesting rulesets, with so much HP with equalizer we skipped the second round and analyzed the second. We both lost some of the units, Quora was quite powerful but with sneak magic damage is not enough to be significant here. That Reflect Magic from Owster Rotwell is quite annoying, but we were still standing :)
Round 4, Definitely Mitica Headhunter was doing a great job here, now all the hope is with Quora, finally, she jumped to the first position. We will analyze the position later. We lost Kron, the opponent's Lich because Life Leech could be hard to kill fast.
Round 5, Lich wasn't as scary as it looked, and we got quite a good damage combination to get buff to Quora from Blood Lust. We finally lost our Agent, it did its job, getting attention for 4 turns.
Round 6, Quora got another buff, unfortunately, crazy damage dealer Mythic is now the target of super sneak monsters. With so a strong Quora it looked like we could not lose it.
Final Blow - Round 8, we skipped the 7th round, but as we can see with many Blood lust buff Quora even with all reflection damage was unbeatable. We lost our Queen Mycelia with reflect damage, but that armor protection was a great addition for the whole battle.
Actually, I was surprised that I won that battle. The opponent got quite a nice counter for our mainly magic team, but Owster with that reflect magic ability is not always the best answer in the equalizer ruleset. As we could see Queen Mycelia was able to live almost to the last round, that 1 damage every turn was not enough to be significant. Almost a similar situation is with anti sneak monster setup, the Dumacke Ork is a great card, especially in the equalizer ruleset, so our Quora wasnt able to kill him before she came to the first position. I think that was one of mistakes I made with my setup. We will talk more about Quora below, but the positioning wasn't optimal. I tried to focus on the first position monster, and Quora was the only monster that broke that principle. Probably it would be better if I switched the position with Kron, but on the other hand we really need her to survive and sustained the damage. That is always not easy choice :).
I hope I managed to show how complicated could be the Super Sneak battles and why I like it so much. Definitely, that ruleset adds an exciting layer of complexity and unpredictability to battles. It rewards strategic positioning and adaptability, making each match a unique challenge. Those mind games are everything there, I also encourage you to check the battle from the blog prediction challenge. You can check your tactical skill and try to predict who will be the winner there, all information with the format is provided below.
I hope you like this kind of report, battle, and strategy presentation. More strategy analysis, discussion, and prediction games you can find on my Wednesday Twitch Channel stream. There will be schedule soon :)

We continue our game from the previous week, today new battle, new card to win :).
I come up with some ideas, I hope you will like them and participate. Every week I will publish one battle, and your goal is to point out the first victim of the battle and who will be the winner. This game is exactly the same as my prediction game which I run on my Wednesday Splinterlands.tv stream. I know that not everyone can attend the stream, so I hope you will still have fun in that way. More about the rules can be read here.
Among all participants who get the correct answer, I will randomly (probably on my Wednesday stream) choose one winner.
The prize of the blog prediction game for the lucky winner will be the epic card:
Here we got the battle:
Game instruction:
Try to point out which monster will die first on the battlefield and who wins the battle
- t - top player
- b - bottom player
- number - order counting from the first position
Examples:
t2b = monster on the second position of top player dies first, the bottom player wins
b6t = monster on the sixth position of bottom player dies first, the top player wins
t3t = monster on the third position of top player dies first, the top player wins
