Carrion Shade - Like Nothing But Incomplete If it Doesn't Exist.gif

Hello splinterlovers, welcome back to my weekly challenge with Carrion Shade. In my mind this monster is like exists and does not exist. Yeah, a monster with 1 malee attack has low health without armor and also low speed. maybe this monster exists to outwit enemy attacks like birds flying in the battlefield, but will die in one hit. LOL

Moving forward, at this post i will share my experience to used this card in battlefield. i hope that through my post I will increase my knowledge of how to maximize Carrion Shade on your deck. One of the uses of this card is that it is used when there is an equalizer rule. lucky i got equaliser rule with low mana. lets check my post bellow.

A carrion shade is a dark-winged bird that feeds off of the dead bodies of animals and people. They often flock to battlefields and dangerous parts of the wilderness where there are sure to be corpses. They travel in small groups and have no natural predators. Most people fear the carrion shades, though. For to see a group following you is to know your life is in danger. Tales whispered by the elder wise women claim that if you see a single carrion shade perched outside your home, then someone you love will die that night. lore

Before we jump into the battle, we better take a look at the stats of Carrion Shade. In the basic level (level 1 and 2) He has 1 malee attack with 2 health and no ability. Carrion Shade has flying ability when this card reach at level 3. In this chance, i put Carrion Shade at level 6.

Mana cap : 15

Available Unit : Fire, Water, Earth, Life, and Death

Rule set :

Equaliser : The initial Health of all Monsters is equal to that of the Monster on either team with the highest base Health..

Holy Protection : All monsters get the Divine Shield ability. The first time the Monster takes damage from a monster it is ignored. It works in Earthquake but NOT Noxious Fumes.

In this battle i got equaliser rule, holy protection and low mana cost plus death element available. So i try to used Carrion Shade in my lineup, lets check my lineup bellow.

Summoner
The first important thing are summoner. I use Thaddius brood with -1 magic attack and -1 health because its so usefull in low mana cost. Thaddius Brood are rare summoner from chaos legion edition belongs to death unit.
1st Possition
The main theme at this post are Carrion Shade, this card come from chaos legion edition and of course belongs to death unit. I used this card at first position to consume the enemy attacks before going down.
2nd Possition
At second position is Shadow Snitch at level 6. At this level Shadow Snitch has 2 malee attack with reach and affliction ability. I think its enough to attack the monster in first position.
3rd Possition
Welcome to the other 1 mana monster from untamed edition. Curse Slimeball is a free card to used. I put this card to give another tank to consume the enemy attack before He/She reach my backline monsters.
4th Possition
Life Sapper with life leech ability are so usefull when she used at low mana. I put this card on 4th position to give more time to increase his health based her ability. Life Sapper a rare card from chaos legion edition belong to death unit.
5th Possition
At the last monster in my backline is Weiding Warrior an epic card from chaos legion edition. At level 4 He has 2 range attack with shatter and amplify abilities. To used this card only need 2 mana cost.

Round 1
  • The first each summoner give their buff and debuff to each monsters on battlefield.
  • The divine shield on Carrion Shade and Life Sapper has broken.
  • The Furious Chicken monster of the enemy has fallen.

Round 2
  • Undead Badger as the second enemy monster are down at this round.
  • The Carrion Shade has defeted after recieving attack from Halfing Alchemist.

Round 3
  • My Shadow Snitch only recieve 1 damage because first attack broke the divine shield and last attack my enemy got missed.

Round 4
  • At round 4, The monster from third position that is Dead Elemental has defeted.
  • My monster got missed when attacking Shoulstorm, i think because of his flying ability.

Round 5

  • Only Life Sapper with 2 magic attack reduce the Soulstorm health -2 and He reflect to Life Sapper with 1 magic damage.

  • All malee and range got missed at this round.

Round 6
  • Finally Soulstorm has defeted at this round and my enemy just have 1 more monster with range attack.

Round 7-8
  • As i guess, it just about time, all my monster attacked Halfing Alcemist as the last monster standing on battlefield.

My strategy goes well, The main theme on this battle (Currion Share) looks really strong in the match above. I got 5,194 DEC plus +42 rating. I still have 4 more monsters in battlefield and just lose 1 monster that is Carrion Shade as the first position.

To be honest, I don't have any feelings for this card. i mean, I don't like but I don't hate either. like the title I wrote above, the existence of this card like nothing but inclomplete if it doesn't exixt. But after this battle, My view of the Carrion Shade has changed. He very usefull to fill slot to provoke the opponent's attack and consume damage before going down. On other rules like malee mayhem and Super Sneak at low mana
