Today was a lucky day for me in Splinterlands, and I want to share how things turned out while playing the game.

My initial goal was to reach the next league because in less than 24 hours the current season will end and a new season will begin. I tried my best to push forward and achieve the next league, but sadly, I was not able to do that.

Even though I failed to reach the next league, I am not disappointed at all. The reason is that I won something very special today, which I will share in the later part of this blog.

In the next screenshot, you can see one of the battles I played today. This was actually the last battle of the day.

In this match, I used a earth summoner against an fire summoner, while in another setup I also faced a fire summoner with an earth team.

The full battle lineup can be seen in the screenshot below, where I used one of my favorite setups for low mana battles.

In the screenshot below, you can see the second round of the battle. At this point, the opponent had already lost one monster.

If you are wondering how that happened so quickly, the credit goes to my special card named Spellmonger.

This card comes with the Thorns ability, which deals 2 physical damage to the attacker whenever it is hit by a melee attack. Because of this ability, one of the opponent’s monsters was eliminated very early in the battle.

I managed to win this match, and after completing 5 battles today, I was able to claim my daily rewards. You can see the rewards in the screenshot below.

While opening the rewards, I noticed something unexpected. There was an extra card that I did not recognize at first. I was surprised, but also happy, because anything extra feels like a bonus.

After revealing all the rewards, I saw that the name of the card was Aimee Whisperwind. I was happy to win this card, but I was also curious about where it came from.

To understand this, I checked my lobby, as shown in the screenshot below. There, I noticed that there is only a 1.5% chance of winning a Foundation card.

These Foundation cards are exclusive, and there are only 4 of them. That is when I realized that I had won something truly special today.

In the screenshot below, you can see the card itself once again. I really like how it looks, and knowing that it has such a low drop rate makes it even more special for me.

So even though I could not reach a new league before the season ended, I am very happy with today’s outcome. Winning an exclusive Foundation card with such a low chance made this day memorable for me in Splinterlands.
