A great victory for the bravery of Aurelia and Vicious Quilliun!

Splinterlands is a game of excitement in the world of blockchain gaming. Each card has its own power, but the real challenge is to use that power wisely. Today, I will share with you my recent battle experience, where I won a thrilling victory with the magical power of earth splinter or green deck.

When the battle screen appeared after logging into the game, that familiar excitement was working in my mind. This match was quite important for me, because I was trying to climb up the Bronze League rankings.

Battle Ground Preparation and Rules

Before the battle started, I took a good look at the rules. Because, in Splinterlands, if you form a team without understanding the rules, you are guaranteed to lose.

Mana cap: 28 (28) – This is a medium match, where it is difficult to use very expensive cards, and it is also impossible to win with very cheap cards.

Battle rules: Standard (Standard) – meaning there are no changes to the general mechanics of the game.

Opponent: My opponent was JOCAS112_LITE. Looking at his rating and previous playstyle, I knew that he would not be an easy opponent.

My masterplan: A strong army led by Aurelia

In this 28 mana match, I chose Earth Splinter. My main goal was to have a strong defense or 'tank' in front and deal damage from the back. In this plan, I chose Aurelia as the summoner. Led by Aurelia, I organized my army with three main cards:

  1. The Tank - Dread Tafarian
I placed Dread Tafarian at the very front of the team. This card, which looks like a lion, is the main hope of my team. Because of its high health and strong defense, I knew it would be able to withstand the blows of the opponent for a long time. And since this card has auto-healing, it will be quite useful for me. In a 28 mana match, I need a card that can stand like a mountain.

  2. Second Position - Kicking Roc
I put Kicking Roc right behind my tank. It is a skilled fighter. Since it is a ranged attack card, its add one power is quite good; it will attack the opponent three times every time. Its function is that when my tank is hit, it will hit the opponent from behind and weaken it. Its speed and attack power are great for mid-range battles.

  3. Backline Support - Vicious Quilliun
Lastly, I put Vicious Quilliun. I put this card as my support so that the opposition can withstand it if it attacks from behind.

Battleground: Round-by-Round Analysis

As soon as the match started, I saw that the opponent also came with a very strong team. Their team also had a wolf-like creature and a sword-wielding warrior. A fierce battle began.

Round 1 (Start and first hit):
As soon as the battle started, the opponent's cards jumped on my Vicious Quilliun. My heart rate increased as I saw one hit after another. But my Vicious Quilliun was in a truly 'terrible' mood. He blocked the opponent's attacks with his shield and health. In the meantime, my Dread Tafarian and Kicking Roc counterattacked the opponent. In the first round, I realized that my defensive strategy was working.

Round 3 (Turn of the battle):
In the third round, the real drama of the game began. As you can see in the screenshot, the enemy's frontline is in a terrible state. My Vicious Quilliun is still standing on the hero's throne, and his health is still 7 (7)! It was truly incredible. My heroes together almost disabled the enemy's main tank. With the perfect hit from Dread Tafarian and the support from Kicking Roc, the enemy's defense line was shattered. Their Cowgirl-like card was defeated by my card attack.

Round 5 (Victory is certain):
The game became one-sided in the fifth round. The opponent had only one card left in his hand—an old swordsman (Old Man). But my entire team was still intact! Vicious Quilliun, Dread Tafarian, and Kicking Roc—all three were still on the field. In this 3 vs 1 fight, the opponent had no chance. The combined attack of my cards finally forced the opponent to admit defeat.

The taste of victory and an amazing reward

When the green text "VICTORY!" flashed on the screen, the joy I felt was indescribable. As a result of this victory, my rating increased,d and I was promoted to the Bronze II league. As the league increases, the competition becomes tougher, but the fun also increases.

However, the real surprise was in the reward box. When I claimed my daily reward, I received two wonderful cards and an entry token:

  1. Colossus Raider (Tideborn): This Water Splinter card is as scary to look at as it is to use. Its 'reach' ability will come in handy for me in the future.
  2. Port Guardian (Llamataur): This is a 7 mana card, with a lot of armor and health. It can be game-changerer in high mana matches.
  3. 1 Entry: Which will help me participate in tournaments or special events.

This battle taught me once again that it is not just expensive cards that are needed to win in Splinterlands, but also correct positioning. The wall that Vicious Quilliun, led by Aurelia, created was not possible for the opponent to break. And from behind, Dread Tafarian and Kicking Roc did their duty perfectly.

I tried to capture the tension that was there at that moment of the game in this article. I hope you liked my strategy and experience. See you on the battlefield of Splinterlands in the next epic battle!

Happy Gaming!
