Earth Power: Winning with Time Bandit, Vicious Quilliun and Wilhelmdale Deputy

Earth is one of my best elements. I just love the earth units. It's another chance for me to tell you about an epic victory I had.

It's been a while since I used an earth archon so I decided to use one in battle.

As usual, I went with Aurelia as my archon. Aurelia adds an extra health to allied units. Aurelia has a low mana cost, which is perfect for this battle given that the mana cap is 23.

Due to the mana cap, I couldn't pick much units. I was only able to choose three units I thought would be able to do the job.

Here's my line up:

PositionUnit
1Time Bandit
2Vicious Quilliun
3Wilhelmdale Deputy

I couldn't resist fixing Time bandit in the first position. This earth monster captures my interest. I don't usually put a magic monster in this position but I decided to try it with time bandit. This magic unit has an impressive health of 7 at level 1. Although it's slow in terms of speed, it has the capacity to hold its own in battle.

One interesting thing about Time bandit is that it had an ability that protected it in battle. It has the cleanse ability. This ability protects it from any magic debuffs as it occupies first position.
It's attack power isn't great at 1 but the fact that it's magic makes it okay.

I thought it wise to put the rodentian, Vicious Quilliun in second. It's a melee monster. Ordinarily, I wouldn't put it in this position but because of the opportunity ability, I decided to.

The opportunity ability is a game winning ability. It takes advantage of units with the least health and just takes them out. This is a quick way of reducing the number of enemy units to give me an upper hand.

With the health buff from Aurelia, Vicious Quilliun's health goes up to 5. This is a great consolidation because enemy units won't easily eliminate it considering their attack power.

Wilhelmdale deputy was my third and last unit. Of course she has a good health stat of 5. With Aurelia's effect, that boosts to 6. She has a speed of 1, making her slow. This resulted in Wilhelmdale deputy missing some attacks when she struck an enemy unit with a higher speed.

The great thing about Wilhelmdale deputy is that her attack power is up to 2. This makes her catastrophic as she launches her attacks on enemy units from the back.

The battle started with intense attack on my unit in the first position, Time Bandit. Thankfully, it had enough health to withstand all that attack. My units fought back and dished out attacks on enemy units.

As soon as round 2 started, my opponent's Chaos Furybringer got eliminated. This was courtesy of Vicious Quilliun because its opportunity ability allowed it to attack Chaos Furybringer on realising it was the enemy unit with the least health.

In round 3, my opponent's Frankarsgard got eliminated after numerous attacks from my units. Wilhelmdale Deputy delivered the final strike that took it out.

The battle got to round 5 with Scales of Justice as the only enemy unit remaining. My units missed several attacks because of speed differences but they were able to deliver some hits that eliminated Scales of Justice in round 5 and won me the battle.

I must say, one major thing that won me this battle was my archon's impact on the health of my units. They had enough health to ensure Sustainability.

Also, the opportunity ability was crucial. It made sure that Vicious Quilliun did a good job of eliminating units that would have been a problem for me.
