Let's Hear it For Uraeus

So the other day, I was just fiddling with my phone sort of reminiscing what kind of days we were enjoying before all these technology took over our daily lives. Amidst the nostalgic trip down memory lane, I suddenly recalled that I have some cards within my deck in Splinterlands that I wasn't able to fully utilize.

I quickly logged into the game and checked out my bag to see the aforementioned cards. Some cards I bought from the marketplace and some of them I acquired through opening a bunch of packs.

Out of all the cards I saw, there was this one card that I thought that I could literally use in every battle or match. And yes, I am not just wishful thinking out here, I really meant LITERALLY because the card is not from any particular splinter, it is from the NEUTRAL group of cards so I could use it for any team that I decide to bring into battle.

Just by the color of the border of the card it looks pretty intimidating, it's within the shade of gold for pete's sake. Anyway, what I really like about this Uraeus card is that it has the sneak ability too. There is something about monsters that go behind enemies' backs and conduct their business in a very sneaky fashion.

It has a decent speed and a not-so-bad damage for a melee. Also, Uraeus is really affordable when it comes to mana allocation because it costs only 3 mana points. It's quite a bargain for a monster like that which you could virtually utilize any time.

For this particular battle, I tried to squeeze in my Uraeus into a team of Earth Splinters. Hmmmm.... Uraeus sounds freakishly a lot like URANUS, am I right? Well, space-talk aside, here is the composition of my team for my trial for this card.

It just so happened that I was up against another Earth Splinter user. It's a fitting match to see if using a NEUTRAL monster on my lineup could give me an edge or a disadvantage in a match.

After one round, my tank has been listed down a collateral damage list. And understandably, I felt a bit uneasy because I know that without a reliable tank, it will be open season on my attackers and damage dealers.

And after a few more back and forths here's how the match unfolded.

I was pleasantly surprised on how the match went and I was glad that it proved to be a right decision to use the Uraeus in this match. It remained standing at the very end and it won the game hitting the last winning blow.

I think that I will be using it more now that I tried it.
