Alright, I'll give you a minute to finish that song correctly inside your head...

All good? All right, let's go.

Oh sure, that song was surely a bop but let's get a move on with today's agenda which is to share one of my battles inside Splinterlands using this week's focused monster.

Themed Monster.png

Monster: RIVER NYMPH
Edition: CHAOS LEGION
Rarity: RARE
Element: WATER
Attack: MAGIC
Abilities: CLEANCE

This is going to be a challenge for me since I really don't use her all that much. In the battles I mean. But anyway, I shall try.

I have done a couple of battles using her and I found that she was pretty useful when it comes to mid-high mana allocation battles. I couldn't squeeze her in with low mana battles because I couldn't spare a bit of mana for a cleansing ability without much damage.

Here's the lineup I used for this particular battle I am sharing.

Lineup

Summoner

kelya.jpg

I chose Kelya to be my summoner mainly for her speed buff. Hitting fast in a battle is an unspeakable advantage. Plus, I don't really have much of a choice. It's either her or that magical turtle. True, the turtle would give the River Nymph a bit of a magical buff, but I still went with Kelya because she would give the most benefit for the lineup as a whole.

Tank

For the tank in the first position, I went with my go-to first pick, the Serpent of Eld. It's quite the tenacious and dangerous beast out front. It can shield every monster including the River Nymph while doing some serious melee damage.

ice.jpg

Coming in second, I chose Ice Pixie to augment the magical barrage of the River Nymph. They could try and do some magical damage while the serpent does its thing.

And I placed the River Nymph in the middle. I wanted her to last through the whole battle and thought that the safest place for her is the middle. She'll be covered front and back.

mer.jpg

In the fourth place comes my healer. Merdaali Guardian. I placed her behind the River Nymph so she could also heal her in case the Nymph takes damage from the enemy's fire.

deep.jpg

And in the spirit of covering one's ass, what's better to guard your behind than this Deeplurker lurking in the deep? It protects the River Nymph while opportunistically dealing damage to the enemies.

xa.jpg

In the last position, Xenith Archer guards the rear. I placed him on this position just to complete the lineup actually. I'm just glad to have another guard around River Nymph.

Battle

Here's how the table has been set for the battle.

And ~voila the tide favored on my side. Thankfully.

I managed to sweep out the deck of the opponent's side.

Conclusion

In the end, my strategy worked out pretty great. I mean, it was perfect. I don't know how else you could call it but PERFECT.

Using her, okay, I mean utilizing River Nymph in a battle is pretty convenient especially when the opponent likes to apply some pesky debuffs on your team. She can rinse them right off with her ability. I have to say that I like her, but again, only when it comes to high mana allocation matches.
