Share Your Battle: Dragons' Day

The theme of this week's challenge is Dragons. Pretty sure that we will have some insanely great battles to be submitted because using Dragons in-game is pretty wild. Whenever dragons are summoned in the battle, there is sure to be an outstanding outcome that will emerge. Oftentimes, results could be unexpected too.

Or maybe it's just true with me. The results of my battles are always unexpected because I always expect to win but I always lose. At this point, maybe I should expect to lose, maybe I'll win some.

I even rented some awesome-looking Dragon monsters just for this challenge but I still found it hard to score some wins even against free base cards.

Even with the paid help of these guys, I still wasn't breezing through any match. Maybe because I don't know how to use them yet but doubt that I will get better at it when I practice with such monsters. They look so scary but I still practically lose every game.

For this particular challenge, however, I will be sharing this specific lineup.

Lineup

For the summoner, I chose to go with the Drake instead of the guys I rented out.

That armor buff comes in handy when it comes to the battle of the melee attacks. I decided to let the monsters from the Death Splinters tag along.

For the tank or first position, I went with Cursed Windeku.

The killer abilities of the Cursed Windeku were made even more threatening by the buff from the Drake.

In the second position, I placed the Twilight Basilisk.

Another dragon added to the lineup. It's just perfect for the second position as it has the ability to reach out from behind the tank and attack the opponent.

Tagging another monster back from the dead, I placed the Life Sapper in the third position to get ready to suck the life out of the enemies. He's made more dangerous with the additional sturdiness.

Sneaking up from behind the ranks is another monster that seems to come out from outer space. The Uraeus sneaks in and attacks monsters from behind. It's already a pretty tough monster but made a bit tougher by the extra armor buff from the Drake.

Coming in last but definitely not least, is the Silent Sha VI.

With this monster, I have the sneakiest backline ever. Protected by the additional armor boost of the Drake, this monster can slither its way to its prey's necks to deal considerable damage.

Battle

For this particular battle, my lineup was faced against magic-filled enemies.

The cards were laid out on the table and it was "go" time. I saw that the opponent went with the pretty standard magic composition using the Earth Splinters. I guess that I didn't really need those armor buffs because as you know, magic goes right through defenses. But still, the victory was mine to take.

Conclusion

Although my strategy didn't really pan out as great as expected, it still worked because it's a well-balanced approach. If I would have known the lineups prior to it, I guess I would with an anti-magic lineup to counter them.

Dragons? Who doesn't like them, right? They really look scary and they are. But still, it takes a lot to get used to using them. And I wish I can have a pretty useful dragon unit soon.
