Random Thoughts & What I'm Getting Myself this Christmas

Merry Christmas Hivers! Or Happy Yule if you prefer!

Christmas isn't really merry from where I'm around. I'm a an expatriate working here in the Middle East. Well you know the story, Christmas isn't a big holiday here, it's not even a holiday.

So where are we going here? Let's talk about investments. How do you know when you are getting old? It's when you don't fancy material things anymore, and seeing most of them as insignificant. And all you think about now is your bank account, or doing investments, or a business. If you do, then yes you are old my friend. I know you would contest to that. I hear you, you are not old. Yes you are mature. Happy now? It's because you've woken up and saw your past life doing all these partying, booze, & rock n' roll, and seeing them now as mere misadventures. Now you spend a day staring unto the far horizon contemplating on life, like looking ahead how you'd be retiring. Wait. Let me rephrase that one, I wouldn't quit on rock n' roll. Partying & booze could go. Lol.

Going back on the irony of the past, you should have thought of this while you were young. Another Lol.

So this Christmas, what will I be getting myself? I have a few extra hundred dollars. So should I buy a new guitar pedal? A new underwear? A new pair of shoes? A new set of lingerie for my wife? Hell no.

Guess what? I bought myself some Hive tokens.

Yes, that was odd, seeing myself as the old gutter punk that I used to be, but it was so satisfying. I then transferred it to my HIVE account.

Yallah!

So for all experts out there, was this a smart move? Was it ok, I transferred it into my Hive Wallet? I've just woken up you know. I could just leave it in the platform where I bought it but I settled on transferring it unto my Hive Wallet because I would have this option of buying Dark Energy Crystals easier. I play Splinterlands too. Well is that right?

I would appreciate advices & comments.

So bye now folks, It's Christmas & my Energy Capture rate is down at 68.39%, yes I need to recuperate. I'm gonna spend my time now watching Season 2 of The Witcher on Netflix. Have fun!
