Social Media Challenge - Cards you hate if you don't own them (ENG / GER)

Hello dear Splinterlands Community,

Today in my post I want to talk to you about a topic that I'm sure (almost) all of you have come across:

"Cards you hate if you don't own them yourself".

a phenomenon that I've come across more and more often, especially since the rewards are no longer based on the power but on the Staked SPS.

Who does not know it? You want to play a few relaxed rounds of Splinterlands and of course win as much as possible, start the game and see seemingly invincible cards in the opponent's cards right at the beginning. At least as long as you can't play a perfect counter or don't own the cards yourself.

That this situation happens to me regularly is probably also related to the fact that I haven't been playing Splinterlands that long. I started playing Splinterlands about 6 months ago. Since then I have built up a solid deck and some delegated cards, but there are still some cards I am missing. There are a few cards that annoy me the most when my opponent plays them and I don't have them.

And which cards are they?

Yodin Zaku

A summoner that can arguably be game-changing on a regular basis. Gives blast to every card and hits hard with it. Also, not exactly to buy for a ridiculous price, if you would like to upgrade yourself. For a counterattack, cards with anti-blast and a tactic that takes some enemy cards out of play as quickly as possible are best. Also, the summoner Lir Deepswimmer is a good counter with his abilities.

The Llama or properly Scarred Llama Mage

Also a legendary and not quite cheap summoner. Gives all cards 2 more life as well as Last Stand. On the side, it has Cleanse for the card in first position. Especially in games with low mana from my point of view hard to counter. With a little luck you have the chance to defeat the last card before it slips to position 1. Otherwise, you'll need an extreme amount of attack power and life to come out on top here.

Kron The Undying

This legendary card brings self-healing abilities in addition to a strong magic attack. Together with the llama really a combo that is almost unbeatable.

Quora Towershead

A Gladiator card that also belongs to the Earth Unit and has regularly caused me despair. The combination of magic and melee attack, lots of life, Bloodlust and self-healing is just really strong. In later levels, other abilities are added that make Quora a difficult opponent to defeat. One combination that has worked for me a few times is to set up Thaddius Brood with the Bone Golem in position one and cards with Sneak Ability like Silent Sha-Vi and Uraeus. With this combination, Quora doesn't do any damage from a back position for now, and your Sneak cards can defeat Quora with a bit of luck before she really gets rolling.

Kralus

Again a double attack card with lots of life, plus it's flying and immune to poison and other negative effects. At level 2, self-healing is then added as an ability and thus this card also becomes a really hard to defeat opponent that you don't like to see on the other side. Especially from level 2 on I haven't found a really effective counter for me yet.

Conclusion

There are some cards that are really hard to defeat, but not impossible. If you are lucky and have the right counter, you have a chance even against the best cards. To my great joy, I recently finally drew a Quora from my Gladiator Packs and I can tell you: When you have the card yourself, the world looks completely different and my previous dislike has turned into affection 😋 Let's see if I can call one of the other cards my own at some point and what countermeasures my opponents will come up with then.

Hallo liebe Splinterlands Community,

heute möchte ich in meinem Beitrag über ein Thema mit Euch sprechen, bei dem ich mir sicher bin, dass es (fast) jedem von Euch schon mal über den Weg gelaufen ist:

"Karten, die man hasst, wenn man sie nicht selbst besitzt"

ein Phänomen, dass mir, vor Allem seit die Rewards sich nicht mehr an der Power sondern an den Staked SPS orientieren, immer häufiger über den Weg läuft.

Wer kennt es nicht? Man möchte ein paar entspannte Runden Splinterlands spielen und dabei natürlich möglichst gewinnen, startet das Spiel und sieht schon zu Beginn bei den Karten des Gegners scheinbar unbesiegbare Karten. Zumindest solange man keinen perfekten Konter spielen kann oder die Karten nicht selbst besitzt.

Das mir diese Situation regelmäßig passiert, hängt vermutlich auch damit zusammen, dass ich noch nicht so lange bei Splinterlands dabei bin. Vor ca. 6 Monaten habe ich angefangen Splinterlands zu spielen. Seitdem habe ich mir zwar ein solides Deck aufgebaut und zusätzlich Unterstützung durch einige delegierte Karten, trotzdem gibt es die ein oder andere, die mir noch fehlt. Dabei gibt es ein paar Karten, die mich ganz besonders ärgern, wenn mein Gegner sie spielt und ich sie nicht habe.

Und welche Karten sind das?

Yodin Zaku

Ein Beschwörer, der wohl regelmäßig spielentscheidend sein kann. Gibt jeder Karte blast und schlägt damit ordentlich zu. Außerdem nicht gerade für einen Spottpreis zu kaufen, sofern man gerne selbst aufrüsten würde. Für einen Konter eignen sich am besten Karten mit anti-blast und eine Taktik, die möglichst schnell einige gegnerische Karten aus dem Spiel nimmt. Außerdem ist der Beschwörer Lir Deepswimmer mit seinen Fähigkeiten ein guter Konter.

Das Lama oder richtig Scarred Lama Mage

Ebenfalls ein legendärer und nicht ganz günstiger Beschwörer. Gibt allen Karten 2 Leben mehr sowie Last Stand. Nebenbei werden für die Karte in der ersten Position Schwächungszauber aufgehoben. Gerade in Spielen mit geringem Mana aus meiner Sicht nur schwer zu kontern. Mit ein bisschen Glück hat man die Chance, die letzte Karte zu besiegen, bevor diese auf Platz 1 rutscht. Ansonsten braucht ihr schon extrem viel Angriffskraft und Leben, um hier den Sieg davon zu tragen.

Kron The Undying

Diese legendäre Karte bringt neben einem starken Magieangriff auch noch selbstheilende Fähigkeiten mit. Zusammen mit dem Lama wirklich eine Kombi, die nahezu unschlagbar ist.

Quora Towershead

Eine Gladiator Karte, die ebenfalls der Earth Unit angehört und regelmäßig für Verzweiflung bei mir gesorgt hat. Die Kombination aus Magie- und Nahkampfangriff, viel Leben, Bloodlust und Selbstheilung ist einfach wirklich stark. In späteren Leveln kommen dann noch weitere Fähigkeiten dazu, die Quora zu einem schwer besiegbaren Gegner machen. Eine Kombination, die sich bei mir bereits einige Male bewährt gemacht hat, ist die Aufstellung von Thaddius Brood mit dem Bone Golem auf Position eins sowie Karten mit Sneak Ability wie Silent Sha-Vi und Uraeus. Mit dieser Kombination macht Quora aus einer hinteren Position erstmal keinen Schaden und eure Sneak Karten können Quora mit ein bisschen Glück besiegen, bevor sie so richtig ins rollen kommt.

Kralus

Wieder eine Karte mit Doppelangriff und viel Leben, außerdem ist sie fliegend und immun gegen Gift und andere negative Effekte. Auf Level 2 kommt dann noch Selbstheilung als Fähigkeit dazu und damit wird auch diese Karte zu einem wirklich schwer besiegbaren Gegner, den man nicht gerne auf der anderen Seite sieht. Gerade ab Level 2 habe ich hier auch noch keinen wirklich wirksamen Konter für mich entdeckt.

Fazit

Es gibt einige Karten, die wirklich schwer, aber nicht unmöglich zu besiegen sind. Wenn man Glück hat und die richtige Kontermöglichkeit besteht, hat man auch gegen die besten Karten eine Chance. Wobei meine Aufzählung auf keinen Fall vollzählig ist.

Zu meiner großen Freude habe ich vor Kurzem endlich eine Quora aus meinen Gladiatoren Packs gezogen und ich kann Euch sagen: Wenn man die Karte selber hat, sieht die Welt gleich ganz anders aus und meine bisherige Abneigung hat sich in Zuneigung verwandelt 😋 Mal schauen, ob ich irgendwann auch eine der anderen Karten mein eigen nennen kann und welche Konter sich meine Gegner dann einfallen lassen.
