Small gains add up!
What's up everyone!
I am really excited to start this journey.
Why?
For 15 years I have been my own boss. I started as a poker pro and lived on it for 5 years. During this time I became addicted to the idea to make money online.
I loved the trips to Las Vegas, the crazy 24 to 48 hours poker sessions. Online and offline.
But I eventually ended up broke. Within a couple of weeks I lost my dad, my girlfriend and couldn't handle the depression that came along with it. In one night I lost all my money and had to give up poker with 10k in debt.
It took me a while to get back mentally. I started to study entrepreneurship. I learned a few things but the theory I learned had nothing to do with real world entrepreneurship.
I broke up and started a sales career which also was quite good money for me. Since 2015 I have been doing everything on the online marketing space.
And since 2018 doing instagram professionally.
Why am I telling you all this?
Because I am obsessed with the idea of having multiple income streams.
As of right now I have 5 and with Splinterlands I want to add a sixth stream of revenue.
That is why you can expect me to talk about entrepreneurship from time to time and personal development that comes with it.
Lets get into SL!
So I started playing SL 2 days ago and I want to get in with some money.
Maybe a couple thousand. For now I invested 250 $ USD. Not much but I want to get a feeling for the game and the economics.
My plan is to make 300 $ a month and then grow it from there. I don't know how much time it takes to make 1.000 $ from it but I love the idea. Maybe even more. At least that is what I dream of :)
I rent some cards to earn more DEC from battles. Some are gold and Alpha which give me a nice extra boost.
So far I am in Bronze I and my further steps are to rank as high as I can. While I aim to buy booster packs in the new chaos edition.
I also bought some cards multiple times to rent them out and resell them for a better price. Maybe even buy land from other people. And I plan to make money from creating SL content.
I don't know much about the game yet. And I also don't know much about the in-game economics overall. But I am very confident to find ways that suit my style to make money from SL and have lots of fun while doing so.
But it's been a long long time since a game excited me this much.
The last game I played excessively was LoL 6 years ago.
