This will be an on-going series that will give new players a decent head start with splinterlands by focusing on overpowered monster cards that can be a cost-effective and useful investment to their starter decks.

Lore

The Assassins do not openly wear the insignia of the Order of the Silver Shield, for they take on the dirty work, the kind of work that is best forgotten after it is done. Armed with small jagged daggers and throwing knives, Silver Shield Assassins kill with the silence of a nightfall over the Khymeve Meadows. They never take prisoners.

Current Market Price Details

A single BCX card of Silvershield Assassin will cost $0.12. I would recommend leveling it up to level 5 as this unlocks the Poison ability. At level 5, it becomes very useful with 2 melee damage, 5 health, 4 speed, 1 armor and 3 above-mentioned abilities. At level 5, it will cost $2.52.

Closing Thoughts

The Silvershield Assassin is an awesome monster card. It becomes even better when you unlock the poison ability at level 4. Generally, I place the Silvershield Assassin in position 3 or position 4 and then allow her to do her thing. At level 5, with all her abilities activated, she does some pretty useful damage which can be vital in turning a battle. Also, the 5 health should be enough for a few rounds unless the opposition has damned pesky snipers. Oh well, they will have to taste the sweet, sweet poison then!

Thanks for sharing! - @marianaemilia

I love this card, with 2 attacks per round it is usually decisive. Imagine him with Daria + Silvershield Knight, still in the Bronze League he can have a + 4 = + 8 attack thanks to Double Strike. Simply overwhelming.
