The worst Chaos Pack opening so far! Ouch, Ouch, Ouch!

Last week, I thought there could never be another pack with less value.

After all, $0.30 return on a pack was dismal. So what does week 16 do? It crushes me with a $0.29 pack opening.

I am opening 52 packs in 52 weeks of Splinterlands Chaos Legion. I purchased the packs at around $2.25 on Tribaldex, which is a great discount from the retail price of $4 a pack on Splinterlands. As of today, packs are again trading at $2.25 on Tribaldex. As a side note, I purchased 30 packs of Chaos last month for $1.80. These packs were to be my next year opening, but I sold them today for $2.25, so that's $13.50 of profit today to help ease the crush of this pack opening!

The real question is will I have a profit at the end of the year?

Not this week. The return on this pack was a shabby $0.29. The cumulative cost at this point is $36, while the return is now at $52.69. So, right now I am at a decent profit.

I've had my share of those! I stopped buying packs altogether! It's just like playing slots, every now and again you win big but for the most part you are going to lose....

It would be even worse if I had bought the packs from Splinterlands at $4. At least at $2.25 there's a chance of making a profit.

I would never pick them up at Splinterlands, way too expensive! I guess there's the airdrop chance but not enough to entice me!
