First HypeTurf post, checking out a new Hive Blockchain frontend

avatar

There seems to be a lot of new things that happen on Hive quickly. For the last few days, I have been seeing this message in comments: Hi (insert name here), you just received an upvote from @gotgame on behalf of https://hypeturf.io.
Hypeturf is HIVE frontend built by @gotgame where you can earn rewards on Hive by creating engaging content and commenting on posts.

So I visited Hypeturf today. It's a new front end for bloggers that use the Hive Blockchain. I started in Hive about 4 months ago. I have used Hive.blog, Peakd.com, https://leofinance.io/ and Ecency.com for posting. I will spend the next few weeks using Hypeturf.io to see what I like and dislike.
First impression, the frontend is clean and easy to read on my screen from Hypeturf. I like that. I find Leofinance sometimes cluttered. I think @peakd as some excellent tools for users, like lists, collections, and wallet interface. I like that @ecency rewards bloggers with points that can be used to promote within the ecency website. I didn't find either of these items in Hypeturf.
Second impression, where's my wallet? I couldn't find it in Hypeturf. And, I wanted to post a different article as my first post. But the community that I wanted to post to is not in the popular community list.
Third impression, Hypeturf is built by Olatunde Oladunni, @gotgame. Looks like he's been around since 2017 and has an excellent reputation. That's important. And he/she is actively following others and actively followed. I like to see people that are working to improve Hive Blockchain. Thanks @gotgame.
Fourth impression, there's no save draft function. I just noticed that. I use Splintertalk.io sometimes and there's no draft save there either. So be careful not to navigate from your post before submitting!
I will end with saying #bvamp Like HypeTurf, we want to see more engagement on Hive Blockchain. So we started a community called Blockchain Vampires We are track the actions of Clergy Relics (humans) #bhuman and Royal Vampires #bvamp to see who will gain control of the Hive Realm.
Final impression, HypeTurf is pretty easy to navigate. I hope there are some comments that give more insight onto why and who is using @hypeturf. I found the writing of a post easier in this format because it is more intuitive! However, I could not upload an image. Blockchain Vampires website

Oh my, thank you so much for this feedback and review. It is very much appreciated. To answer your questions, yes a number of features on Peakd and other older frontends are not live on Hypeturf yet but they are all noted and are being worked on as we speak(they were always a part of the plan).

There are lots of planned features and there are many ways in which we think we can add value to Hive through our frontend which we are currently working on and promise to deliver.

I appreciate that you want to spend the next few weeks using Hypeturf, I would love to hear your feedback. Thank you again.

P.S I wish I had higher voting power currently, I'd have given you a better upvote. Cheers

Don't worry about the upvote. The more I am on Hive, the more I focus on good engagement. I am finding great benefit from commenting with others. Not to go to far off topic, but the ability to interact is sparking lots of ideas on and off Blockchain for me. We have a small team that is working on ideas for Hive Blockchain. Feel free to check out our little community HiveFive Community If there is something we can help you do, just post us a comment to our community. What are your long term plans for Hypturf? How do you see it being used differently than the other FrontEnds? Is it a recruitment tool? Only answer and share what you are comfortable with providing. I have some longer term ideas for building a similar front end to help new Hivers, but I'm not sure we will chase that Flier.

Yes, thank you. I just checked out the HiveFive community, you are doing really good work. Just read through some really nice content on there, big ups to you and the community members. It feels really good to see how Hive can be utilized in the conception of really great ideas that will provide value to all.

Regarding my long term plans for HypeTurf, well the main aim is to create a platform
where people can share their ideas and work get rewarded for it and at the same time have a chance to get their content as much visibility as they can afford using Hive(or probably a token native to the platform, fingers crossed on this) as a means of exchange for promotion.

How do I plan to achieve this?

Well, apart from the frontend, another important feature(IMO) that I plan to implement is a marketplace that allows anyone on Hive to buy promotional services from other Hive users using P2P transactions.

So, let's say someone has created this amazingly valuable content about their work, business, idea, offer or whatever(as long as it is socially acceptable and safe for work) they can pay other Hive users through the marketplace to promote the content or idea on third party platforms(i.e popular web2 social media).

I don't think it is a bad idea if there was an avenue on Hive for anyone to easily pay others on Hive to micro-influence for them.

There are a number of ways I wish to go about it, but I feel like I shouldn't disclose that and some other features at this point(at least until I have something ready to show for them). However, I have worked out how the marketplace will work and I can confidently say it is getting built.

If you feel like this is a good idea and you think HiveFive as a community can be of help, it would be really wonderful to talk further and do something together. I'd be really delighted. Initially, I have been discussing and working on this with @mengene and he has contributed a lot of wonderful ideas but at the same time we would love to have more contributions and insights from others.

Would love to hear back from you. I appreciate your interest. Thanks

I think I understand. If a company outside of Hive, has a really cool product, then the company can reward Hive content creators to discuss or review the product. And the marketplace that you will create, would then allow the company to have a mechanism to pay in any currency, which would be then converted to Hive and paid to the content creator/influencer. And in addition, if the content creator has other platforms, the company may pay for promotion on those platforms which will generate more reward for the content creator/influencer. @cryptocharmers is a HiveFive member, and I am mentioning him here in case he has comments. Also, @cryptocharmers is an ace at coding for Blockchain.
Maybe we can chat more in Discord about a few ideas. I want to work out a support system and onboarding system for new Hivers that is more effective than the current way. I think a lot of people like the idea of Hive but end up discouraged after a few weeks due to low Resource Credits. I will follow @mengene also. Also, I am interested in learning how people in Africa and South America use Hive and other crypto currencies. Thanks for responding to me. I hope there are ways we help each other in the future.

Yes, you are actually on track. I will agree that onboarding and getting familiar with the Hive landscape can be a tad confusing for new users especially ones that do not really have a fair understanding of how blockchain tech works. Any new platform on Hive especially one that would need to target people that are not already on Hive would need to have a very streamlined and onboarding process.

I'd be interested in discussing further on that and any other way we can be of help and provide value to each other.

Thanks for the tip on the photo. Also, is there a way to post to lesser known communities? The drop down seemed to be only popular communities.
