Hello! While most of my Splinterlands activity as of late can be contained within doing daily quests and card flipping, I have also been looking at which commons could be worth being picked up the most once prices plummet with the CL release. Granted, I don't think they will go down THAT much, as we are already slowly approaching burn value. If DEC goes up by even just a bit, the prices will surely rebound slightly due to this proximity.

That said, some commons are quite far away from others if we just look at the price, while those others can simply become a steal at 2-3cents, as I believe we might be looking that way after general sale. Let me quickly show you the 5 commons that I believe are worth picking up. I took into consideration their general power at max silver level, as well as their price. I tried to include at least 2-3 underrated ones next to the obvious winners.

1. Deeplurker

This is not a surprise to anyone, as I am sure. Deeplurker is an absolute beast and - to be honest - I am not sure it's completely balanced. Even at level one it's a complete terror, not to mention its synergy with Kelya giving it an extra point of speed to take those pesky backliners even quicker.

It gets a 4th point of attack at level 4, which only takes either 30 RFs or 2 GFs. Its maxed stats at Silver can be seen in the image above. It is just crazy that for 6 mana, you can have a 4 attack, 4 speed and SEVEN health unitwith Opportunity in Silver. Even though this card is quite expensive now, I believe it will go down quite significantly within days of general sale and let us max it at a budget-friendly price.

2. Goblin Psychic

Goblin Psychic is towards the top of the price range, but it's also definitely one of the most exciting cards. The card fits into the current magic deck - Earth with Obsidian with the fantastic Tank Heal ability, while also packing some good damage itself.

What makes me want to put him in second place though is the ability it gets at level 4 - Affliction. Healing is quite powerful in this game, with cards like Merdaali Guardian, Goblin Psychic and many more being easily accessible for cheap. That makes Affliction even more desirable and this card covers both bases - it can heal your tank while stopping the opposing one from doing the same!

3. Riftwing

Already at level 1 it is a powerful card that can be used as a secondary tank, an anti-Sneak card, or to win out on some Earthquake rulesets if Brighton Bloom isn't available. Even in Noxious Fumes, it is a considerable choice.

The best part is that it grows rapidly throughout the levels, gaining more and more health as well as speed, to finally become a threat to whoever attacks it by gaining Backfire. Combined with Flying as well as a fairly decent speed, it can not only waste opponent's time, but simply kill them in return! Having three abilities in Silver is not the most common and even more so when you only pay 4 mana for it.

4. Supply Runner

This one is really simple so I'll be quick as well. Supply Runner is quite weak as a card in Novice and Bronze leagues - paying 6 mana for 2 ranged with no ability attached is not great, when you have options like Mantoid and Goblin Chariot in the starter set.

Level 5 is all you care about on this card, as once you combine 60 of those, it gets Swiftness. It is not a very common ability and we all know that speed kills, so it is really valuable to have it. Especially when the card already costs only around 15cents/BCX and will likely drop further soon!

5. Silent Sha-Vi

Silent Sha-Vi is already a great level 1 card. It is the Death's answer to Tenyii Striker and it does its job very well, especially when combined with the multitude of other fast speed Sneaks in the region like Skeleton Assassin and Undead Badger.

What it gains throughout the levels just makes it even more reliable at doing this job. At level 5 it has a whopping 5 speed, as well as 6 health and 3 attack. Those are all great stats that kill off the backline easily and make it so that it is hard to dodge the Silent Sha-Vi for any anti-Sneak protectors.

I believe these cards are simply the best investments once general sale sells out. I think you will need to be fairly quick, as the prices will go back up pretty fast, with all the people who intend to hold packs like there's no tomorrow.
