Olá Splinters, bem-vindos novamente!!

cadadad.png

image.png

Batalha 2: Esquiva Vs Yodin Zaku

Batalha

image.png + image.png + image.png = image.png

image.png + image.png = image.png

Speed, the essential attribute!Part I [PT/EN]

Speed, the essential attribute!Part II [PT/EN]

Hello Splinters, welcome back!!

In Splinterlands we need to develop the most diverse strategies for each situation, the way we are going to position cards, choose a summoner and monsters for a battle is decisive for good results. Choosing the right cards for each battle based on mana and rules is also critical.

Splinterlands is a game with a lot of dynamics amid so many variables and we never know what will happen, knowing all the existing skills and identifying suitable cards for each situation is essential for us to become a good player within this universe.

All my life I've been a big fan of card games and when I met Splinterlands it was love at first sight.

Today I would like to bring you two battles in which I will punctuate my strategy for each one, I believe it can add to your learning, even if you already know enough, after all, we can never stop learning.

image.png

Battle 1: Speed Vs Strength!

Battle

Working with variables and taking advantage of the battle rules to my advantage was my goal. When faced with the conditions imposed for this match, I needed to develop a strategy, it was something daring and I counted on the odds being in my favor.

We can see that in this game the only element available to be chosen is Fire. I don't play with fire much, this is the element that I have the least understanding in front of others, so we've already started with this difficulty. 24 mana is a reasonable thing to scale a decent strategy. But the most important thing for this battle are the rules, it's through them that I surprised my opponent and came out with the victory.

The title for this battle was "speed vs strength", but you can notice that even though my opponent's chosen summoner gives +1 melee attack he couldn't use them for this battle due to the rule active. But the strength I wanted to mention is the ratio between a level 3 summoner and me who will play cards in their lowest conditions.

Spark Pixies dodged all attacks!

We have the Equal Opportunity rule in this battle and it was the main reason I built my strategy. And it's nothing too fancy, I just chose a monster with the lowest health and the highest possible evasion possibility, Spark Pixies was the perfect card for that. Simple works.

To complement this plan I decided to go with a summoner that added speed and a monster to slow down the opponent through the skill Slow and this increased the chances of dodging.

As you may have seen in the video above, this was my main bet and it went as expected and within all the limitations and the lower level of my cards was how I wanted it to be. This is the power of speed, it wins battles.

image.png

Battle 2: Dodge Vs Yodin Zaku

Battle

Summoner Yodin is one of the most difficult summoners to face, not least, this card is extremely good. In addition to adding health and +1 ranged attack to all monsters, the Blast skill is the most brutal. This is a lethal summoner and you need be too careful.

image.png + image.png + image.png = image.png

One of the most important things in a battle is to spy on the opponent's match history, by doing this we have a brief idea of what he can use and associate this with the possibilities and conditions and preparing will never be a bad choice.

This was one of the things that helped me in this match, it was possible for my opponent to use this deadly summoner due to the conditions and I prepared myself.

What could I do?

I bet once again on speed and the possibility of dodging. And another factor that was very important was that my monsters would attack first, that way I could defeat a monster before it launched an attack. Two monsters with the Opportunity skill in my team did very well in this role of finalization.

Playing against this summoner is always a big challenge, I analyzed very well what I could do within my options and betting on speed was decisive. The summoner Keyla Frendul was a great choice to add speed in addition to giving additional protection with his shields distributed to my monsters.

image.png + image.png = image.png

Placing each monster in a suitable position is also critical, protecting potential monsters in vulnerable positions in this situation is the key to survival. Monsters with relevant health and shields will also make a big difference.

After scoring all these important parts, all we can do is wait for everything to work out. Betting on dodging is something that can't always work despite the odds, relying on "luck" is a dangerous thing. But in the face of all this firepower I didn't have much choice and my options to face him were few, but thanks to this vision things worked out and went as planned, the victory was mine.

image.png

Concluding:

The key to victory in these two cases was betting on speed. Lately I've been prioritizing the speed attribute a lot when I'm going to choose monsters for a battle and that's something that always went unnoticed during my picks.

I've been talking about this in my last posts because I want more players to learn about it and improve their gameplay, I know that this way I'll find more difficult opponents but my goal here is to contribute to the community and knowledge is to be shared.

Obviously each player has a way of thinking and the view on some aspects is something personal, but as I learn a lot from players, maybe this is a good contribution on my part, I want this universe to be more and more disputed and so I will demand it every time more of my personal progress. Everyone wins.

I recently created two posts talking exclusively about the speed attribute and I'll leave it below if you want to check it out:

Speed, the essential attribute!Part I [PT/EN]
In this first part we talk about the advantages and expectations when choosing speed as an important attribute for the game, in addition to mentioning all monsters and summoners that have some relationship with speed through skills or buffs.

Speed, the essential attribute!Part II [PT/EN]
In this post I share a battle from which I hear 13 dodges and I emphasize the importance of speed added to dodge skills in addition to showing the percentages that a dodge can happen through calculations. worth checking out.

And that's it for today, I hope that somehow I have added something for your knowledge. Thank you for spending some time with my words and thoughts, until next time!!

(maldita velocidade!)
