GRUM FLAMEBLADE - The master of reverse speed! [PT/EN]

Hello Splintermaniacs, welcome back!!

One of the coolest points we found in Splinterlands is the possibility that monsters' weaknesses can become great allies in our battles. Faced with the variables we face in our battles, the battle rule is one of the main factors responsible for giving greater dynamics to our matches. Monsters that under normal circumstances would be weak or lagged in some trait can be extremely good if used in the right conditions.

We have many examples where we can use battle rules to our advantage to add more utility to monsters. Equalize for low health monsters and Reverse Speed to give slow monsters a chance to be the fastest in a match, are good examples!

In the Reverse Speed rule, monsters that tend to miss attacks (melee and ranged) because they have little speed under normal conditions, will be the most requested. They will be the first to attack. A monster that attacks first has an advantage, it kills first, while a slower monster (or faster if we're talking about the Reverse Speed rule) might not even have landed an attack. Another important factor related to speed is that he has a greater chance of being able to dodge attacks. This is a condition that will make a big difference in battle, because if a monster misses its attack, it would need more extra attacks to fulfill the final objective of a match, which is to eliminate monsters from the enemy field.

If we're talking about Reverse Speed, the near-perfect monster is GRUM FLAMEBLADE

Under normal conditions, this monster can already be considered very strong for its offensive and defensive characteristics. At least at the second level, it is a card that can easily deal with magic attacks, and this is a lack that the fire element has, a tank that can better deal with these types of attacks.

But despite being a very offensive monster, with a powerful attack and the Bloodust ability that makes it a deadly machine, it ends up being a matter of great luck that it manages to execute a successful attack, its speed is minimal .

But if this is a defect under normal conditions, in the Reverse Speed rule, GRUM FLAMEBLADE turns into a true untamed beast!!

  • Defensively, we already said above that he can easily deal with magic attacks, but against melee and ranged attacks he has great chances to dodge.

  • Offensively, he's a beast. Bloodust is one of the skills in which if the enemy player is silly and lets GRUM FLAMEBLADE defeat a monster, it will get stronger and harder to be fought.

The Aim true rule can also be well considered, aiming that the monsters do not miss their attacks and GRUM FLAMEBLADE can also be well taken advantage of. But it doesn't have the same power compared to the Reverse Speed rule, for obvious reasons.

Faced with some facts said, let's check a little said in a battle?

As said before, we must adapt the rules of battle and use them to our advantage. Reverse Speed was in evidence that it would be a determining factor for actions within the battle, I scaled my team to have this advantage.

BATTLE

Even using fewer monsters compared to my opponent, I believe that the added quality of having little speed in this condition was the most important thing. It was a game with little mana available, GRUM FLAMEBLADE claimed most of that mana for itself, which left me with little possibility to add other monsters. But as he was the main part of my strategy, I just added what I had at hand to complement the strategy.

I believe my opponent was unlucky to choose a summoner that adds more speed in a match like this. From another perspective, he would have more protection, as all monsters gain shields. This added to the greater amount of monsters he put on the field, maybe it was his strategy's positive point. But he relied a lot on the luck of hitting a monster, or it was just a lack of attention.

Battering Ram was a monster that played a very important role, its objective was to destroy shields and leave themy free to the GRUM. As it is a monster that has the Opportunity ability, he did this work on the weakest monsters, and even eliminating some of them. In addition to what has been said, it is a monster with the minimum speed, which was very well chosen in the face of the battle scenario, since it could attack quickly and maybe even dodge.

GRUM FLAMEBLADE, as I like to describe him, was a war machine that could hardly be stopped. At the end of the game, he reached the incredible mark of 8 attack, a deadly monster. I also need to mention that he dodged 6 attacks, an amount that makes a difference in any battle.

As imagined, GRUM FLAMEBLADE became the protagonist of this battle, trampling and being an extremely important monster in the Reverse Speed battle rule. Perhaps this is a monster that can be one of the best options in this condition, fulfilling very well important functions that a tank can offer.

Do you have any suggestions for another monster that might be as good as Grum in the battle rule? If so, let me know in the comments!

This is where I end this post. Thank you for spending some of your time with my words and thoughts. To the next!!!
