Olá pessoal, bem-vindos mais uma vez!

caappaa.png

a_batalha.png

Nessa batalha estavam ativa as regras Super Sneak e Spreading Fury.

Hello everyone, welcome again!

caappaa.png

Another weekly challenge has arrived and I'm here once again to share my vision about the letter in focus, its positive and negative points and of course my battle. It's always a lot of fun to bring this weekly content and learn more deeply about the aspect placed, in this way we become true holders of knowledge within the universe of Splinterlands!

This week the challenge was given and let's talk about CARRION SHADE! This challenge won't be as easy as the last two which were highly effective and useful cards, but I like the big challenges and I'm prepared to bring the best of my vision to you!

I honestly wouldn't want to find this corpse-eating bird in front of me at all, because that means it's a bad omen. Read Lore to understand more.

CARRION SHADE is a card found in the starting deck within the Death element. It's not a card that has a good attack, it's limited because it's a Melee class and doesn't have any effect that allows attacking from any position other than the first, low health. Its starting stat is nothing to put fear into an opponent and it will hardly make a big difference in a battle if used without a purpose. So after all, what to expect from a card that only costs 1 of mana?

"Cover hole" and force the opponent to waste attacks.

Yes, in my view this is the best use of this card, you pay one mana for your opponent to spend an attack, because at some point it needs to be destroyed and an attack that could be directed to a monster with better uses will be diverted to Is it over there.

The two best positions to leave CARRION SHADE are in first position or last and this card will serve as a shield against a possible Sneak attack mini_sneak.png

Low mana matches can also be a good option, especially if the Equalizermini_equalize.png rule is active. That way, it doesn't matter how weak your card is if the purpose is to put as many cards on the field with little mana as possible to hold the opponent's attack and save mana resource for a stronger card to be scaled.

Let's look at the status of CARRION SHADE:

image.png

As we can see no matter what level this card has, it will always be a ridiculously weak card to do any damage to the opponent but a small detail comes up when it reaches level 3★ and it will acquire the Fly effectmini_fly.png.

With the Fly effect available, CARRION SHADE will be much more effective for its true purpose of making the opponent waste attacks, as the Fly effect increases the possibility that monsters that don't have this effect miss the attack. It can also be useful in battles with the Earthquake combat rule.mini_earthquake.png

In conclusion, this isn't a card you'll want to use in every battle but when you find the right occasion don't miss the chance to make your opponent miss attacks!

the_batle.png

In this battle, the Super Sneak and Spreading Fury rules were active. This made it possible for me to use Melee attack monsters in any position and be able to attack. Spreading Fury could thwart my plans to take less damage but my opponent was also open to that possibility. So based on these rules I decided to use cards that are normally good tanks.

CARRION SHADE was used as my first monster for this battle so any wasted attack on him would help me. It was a good option in this battle as the amount of mana available was not much.

My strategy for this battle was to lower the opponent's Melee attack and take less damage. With HARKLAW and DISINTEGRATOR in combo my strategy would work just fine.

I chose HARKLAW to be my last monster because it would be able to absorb the attacks that I would imagine would be directed there due to the combat rule.

batalha_1.png

michupa.png

This was a hard fought battle and I only managed to defeat Serpent of Eld in round 7, this monster dodged almost everything! But I knew I just needed to defeat him to get the victory.

batalha_2.png

michupa.png

After a few rounds the battle was easy to win. My opponent used a good deck, a good strategy, but in this one I got the best. This is a very good summoner and if I hadn't thought of a strategy that was competitive I wouldn't have won.
