Some history on my Splinterlands journey so far
Today is day 3 of my Hive a post a day journey and today I am going to talk about @splinterlands.
My Splinterlands journey has been a long one, as I was one of those people buying Splinterlands cards before there was even a game to play, just hoping that they would deliver an not be a rug pull. But yes deliver they did. I wish I had more money back then as I bought minimal packs, both due to the lack of funds on my part and my lack of trust in crypto in general.
To give perspective a friend of mine had shown me crypto and told me post on hive instead of on Facebook. I bought some Hive at I think it was AUD$6 at the time and watched the price plummet from there.
Needless to say I did not see a long future at the time for Hive, which back then was Steem. But I stood by it as I hoped for a better future. Ok back to Splinterlands.
Beta cards came along and gave my confidence a boost in the project between collect rewards cards from the daily quests we had back then. That’s right daily quests that could drop anything from cards to card packs with no lock on them, 100 percent trade able. And buying Packs and cards to get a decent deck I found myself playing in Diamond league. This was a massive boost to my confidence in Splinterlands. And my Beta deck would form the backbone of my deck right up until modern mode got released years later.
Honestly I don’t remember what happened around Untamed and Chaos Legion but I know I sometimes played and sometimes did not. I did at some stage manage to get into Champion though and did well until they changed the way leagues worked.
Rebellion I regret not getting into as I had stunted my growth in the current meta. I am currently trying to flesh out my Conclave Arcana deck and it is slowly getting there. I am now managing to hit Silver league and if I make some key purchases I think I should be able to push my way into Gold. I will keep you posted.
