3 Things to take note when building a team

Despite the huge success of Splinterlands in the past few months, the game still continues to grow. Thanks to the increasing amount of players (or bots) coming in, the game became a lot more fun to play due to the increased variation of battling strategies that works well in certain situations.

In order to see how effective are those strategies in battling, players need to build the team that they will submit first. To help other players who have troubles about these things, I'm going to share some of the insights that I thought of while building teams.

When playing, I always consider three things before I build and submit my team. These things are:

1. Card Stats (Health, Armor, Speed, Damage) - The stats of each card on your team is a major factor as it determines how the battle will go. If your splinters have higher health than your opponent, then you have a higher chance of winning. If your cards are slower, then you might lose. Before submitting your team, check if each splinter has good stats. If not, find better splinters.

2. Buffs/Debuffs/Abilities -
   These things allow cards to gain boost like stats or abilities, disable some of the opponents splinter abilities or take some stas from opponent. In higher leagues, cards that can give or take ability, buff or debuff other cards are extremely useful. This allows them to have an increased guarantee of winning.

3. Coordination with other cards

• When I was a new player, I was always frustrated because I always lose because I tend to focus on building the strength of my team in just one splinter. I realized that there was a better option, and this option is to make sure that each card on the team will work well with other cards.Always ask, "Will this card give more health? will this card give flying ability to my splinters? When building a team choose cards that can help your other cards to maximize the abilities or buffs of your support cards.

Just keep this things in mind while making your teams. This will not guarantee wins, but it these things will guarantee you that your strategy will work based your what you have thought.
