Some Splinterlands Highlights + Guild Progress

Whenever I experience an interesting or unlikely pull, I try to remember to screenshot it with the intention of writing a post about it. They've however just ended up accumulating in a folder for months now, without being used.

In the past several months I've pulled a Gold Foil Legendary - GFL, a bunch of Epic and Legendary Gladiator Cards, and even scored a significant amount of SPS in a recent Loot Chest.

This is a compilation of various interesting pulls I've made between June and today + some guild updates from The Anti Social Club.

Guild Store and Brawl Update

The Anti Social Club has been doing really well in the Brawls for a good while. Guild Leader @reseller is convinced it has something to do with the fact that guild members are actually being paid DEC per win in the brawls. I personally think it has more to do with how the members are a really nice group of people, with mutual accountability and responsibility towards each other. But I cannot deny that DEC payouts at the very least don't hurt the motivation. Regardless, I'm thankful to be in such a privileged position.

So they've been keeping track of our brawls with win rates and payouts in their blog – here's the link to the latest one: Splinterlands Brawls: First Place, the view looks nice up here!. And thanks to fellow guild member @mammouth, we also know that our average placement is currently 1.1th place(!). And all those 1st places equal a lot of Merits... Especially with our Level 7 Guild Store Bonus of 120%.

We currently earn somewhere between 4600-5200 Merits per brawl. And as you can probably see, we are now less than a hundred Crowns away from being able to upgrade our store to the next level.. And unlock Power Stones!

Gladius Cases

So what else to spend all those Merits for, other than Gladius Cases and Blood Stones? Let's start off easy, with a pack opening back in June.

I haven't used her much because of her low health, but in the right rulesets like Super Sneak and Equal Opportunity she is able to deal a ton of damage. And if then combined combined with Equalizer, she's a crazy strong card.

And then comes Larissa. First pull of her too. With Double Strike Magic attack! If you can keep her protected, and opponent doesn't have too much magic resistance, she'll wreak absolute havoc on the enemy monsters. I've so far used her succesfully just once.

And how about a double Epic? And not just any Epic.. Yet another Quora!

That brings the total Quoras I own to 7. Just three more BCX until Immunity... This is gonna come in come in handy the Alpha/Beta bronze fray, where the Immunity ability doesn't exist.

Loot Chests

I've gotten some nice loot chest pulls too. This one was particularly impressive, with a legendary card + almost a whole Gladius Case – on the same day.

And holy crap. Almost 3k SPS?! That's officially the biggest chest reward I ever got. Awesome.

Chaos Legion Packs

I know regular foil legendaries from Chaos Legions aren't exactly the hottest these days with the Riftwatchers craze and all... But 2 Legendaries in 1 pack still deserves to be highlighted.

Pulling a Gold Foil Legendary - GFL is an event the few times they do come. This time, a GF Fungus Fiend.

Luck and Persistence

If you've made it all the way down here, and perhaps now think that I'm super lucky to have gotten all these amazing pulls, remember that this is just a tiny fraction of all the chests and packs I've opened in total during this time period. Most of the time I don't get anything close to this.

Luck is certainly a factor, but without the persistence to show up everyday and put in the work, chances for luck to occur are equivalently close to zero.
