My Rental adventure 2023 - 11 weeks later, the attack of the clones

Splinterlands latest news are:

  • Vruz, the airdrop card for the SPS staking (one for every 1000 SPS staked) seems cool enough for me, despite some people not liking it. I can see some uses, for Dragon+Fire build, on Earthquake ruleset, using 3 high health cards and 3 martyr ones (Firecaller, Vruz, Marksrat, in between the other cards, to boost them 3 times as they die.). Equalizer can be another good ruleset. Think Daria +1 melee added to it.

  • Soulkeep, the tower defence game, has a closed beta testing for every one who already bought 500+packs. Try it. The 500+packs will also give you SPS rewards, at the moment.
  • Another airdrop on Riftwatchers, and I was unlucky, got none, bought one, the Ancient Redwood. At max level got True Strike, Reflection, Fury and Piercing. A good one to take out Taunting tanks.
  • The new energy system is on online, you have a maximum 50 Energy, drop by one for games above Novice, you regain one per hour, and you can buy 50 more energy once per day for the 1,10,50,150,500 DEC per Energy point, depending on your league.
  • Secret of Pretoria 1.5 Land Whitepaper is out, and I can probably can make few articles about it. This is the short version, with the most important bits. We have 150 regions with 1000 lands each, so the total number is 150.000. All teritories have 20-22 regions. There are 14 different terrain types, 4 rarities (common, rare, epic, legendary), and the resource type can be natural, magical or Occupied. Each region will have a castle and 10 keeps, this specific plots can collect taxes and fees from the entire region. We have Starter packages, that can be bought with DEC-B and DEC, doing different things. Important bit is that some contain free Power Sources, as each plot need one to work, and if you buy it is 5000 DEC. Up to 5 cards can be staked normally, to get resources, construct building and so one, and the Alpha Beta etc are better than Chaos, Legendary are better than common, and Gold are better than Regular. Max level is the best one too. Think about this and how the market will boom when the land is here. You need 10K DEC to stack a max level card, and less if the card is lower level. There is a Production Points (PP) system and the better your staked cards and the land rarity, the bigger is the production. Plots needs to be cleared, and you use production points for it. Magical lands research the Secret of Pretoria, Occupied lands mine SPS. Runi gives you an extra card spot to stake. Runi, Totems, titles, can be used to boost production. There is a resource called Grain, consumed by workers to achieve 100% production. Less Grain, less production. Harvesting will be similar to claiming staking rewards. Any change to the plot will trigger auto-harvest. On the version 1.5 there is a 10% tax on all harvest. Transporting Grain or other resources from one region to another implies a 12.5% transportation fee. Cards can be staken instantly, but needs a 3 days cooldown when unstaked. Below you can see the new roadmap.

This is my latest test for Splinterlands, as I am still playing for the Guild Brawls, and I rented most of my cards. I let myself rent 2 teams to play a bit during the brawls. I am slowly get some cards back from rental, and get ready for Land, as this week I bought one max level Gold and One max level legendary card.

Rental stats:

@Mightyrocklee’s Cards

902/935 Cards

38,502/38,817BCX

CP: 75,942.5 (48,545) (1,097,333.5)

Account Worth: 17,635.344 $

Rental Income: 6,480.316/9,348.815

DEC11.8% y ROA

Rental Expenses: 191.334 DEC

As I have started this few season ago (beginning of November), these are my stats:

Chaos Legion packs bought: 1893 (none)

Chaos Legion packs unopened: 416 (+1)

Riftwatchers packs bought: 152 (+3)

Riftwatchers packs unopened: 1

Cards upgraded and rented:

I started to get some cards for land staking, and this week I got a max level 10 Gold Pelacor Deceiver...

...and a Legendary max level 4 Harklaw

Other than that, I buy cards for my remaining 3 Epic cards from the Chaos Legion collection, and I still need 26 for Magi of Chaos, 25 for Forgotten One and 23 for Magi Necrosi. I am close to finish it. And then, finally, I can focus on Rift Watchers.

The strategy is mostly unchanged, using the DEC from rentals to upgrade fully Chaos Legion set (on Core cards I have 3 epics left to max up, on Riftwatchers I have left to upgrade 13 common, 12 rare, 6 epics and 7 legendary cards). I want to buy some max level Gold and legendary cards, at least 15 of them, if possible, to get 3 lands fully prepared (2 keeps and hopefully, one Castle. In the same time I need to get some more RW packs, already started to buy them, one by one, now that CL ended, and use the GLX to stake up to 10K and SPS to 100K. Vouchers still go on Tribaldex for more SPS farming (Voucher - Hive pair).

All the best,

George
