Admissions of a Botter: Day 1 of Season

(Edited)

Hello there, my name is Mihrk.

I have seen a lot of posts for and against Botting inside splinterlands. At this time I actually think both sides have a very good points. What I decided to start yesterday, is I am going to show everyone my botting results, daily or every other day (depends on how much traction this gets) for at least a month. My honest hope is that by revealing a glimpse into the botting community it will help educate the userbase into making an educated stance. I plan to hold nothing back outside of any details to protect my accounts. So here, we, go!

Botting

Alright, yesterday we covered and End of Season set of rewards which was actually quite spectacular. For reference you can visit my post here for the exact numbers. Today's returns are actually rather the norm at the start of a new season. The reason being is that bots are actually more focused on powering up than earning rewards. Reason being is the higher the rank the more profitable they are. This is one of the reasons new or inexperienced players have a much harder time leveling up at season start! Us Botters are picking decks with above 50%+ or in my case 60%+ Winrates.

I also wish to disclose today that only 66 of my bots earned any chests today. Reason being is 114 of them are short on RC and are still recovering from EOS rentals. I am actually looking to liquidate some cards to purchase more Hive Power to resolve this hopefully by this time tomorrow. I fully expect to dedicate 3 to 4 hours to this endeavor tonight. I do wish to preface this with the fact that botting, while usually automated has a high upfront investment of income and time like any passive income.

Rental

Alright, like yesterday I want to reiterate that there is a second income to botting that most do not consider. Rental income from earned reward cards. Most reward cards honestly end up just collecting dust unless you combine them (commons and most rares). However Epics, Legendaries and Gold Foil Cards. Keep in mind however these contribute to the RC burn and without more Hive Power (Botters need lots and lots of Hive Power, digital Gold) my operations are grinding at around ~33% capacity.

Today's change is due to multiple reasons. I actually pulled my highest earning reward cards to power my main account as I manually power through Modern (hope to purchase an Archage token eventually). On top of this my rental service I utilized relisted all my items at the appropriate price for the first day of the season which is always criminally low.

End of Night Setup for Tomorrow

Yesterday I expanded my bot farm by 50 accounts and redistributed my HP hoping to keep them powered up. Based on today's results it was a futile effort (waste of an hour). Instead today I plan to allocate far more Hive Power to these bots to see better returns come tomorrow.

Bot Rewards at End of Day Today

I do have about 20 more accounts that have accumulated Chests but are still waiting on their timer to expire. As such I have chosen not to count them into our daily average. To give you an idea of what I have waiting here is a screenshot below. I have about another 10 bots below it with 1 chest each. The rest are sitting at 0 with no RC available to function.

My Daily Costs

Cost per Bot

One Time:

$10 Per account
$4 dollars in Hive Power (This was $2 dollars before but has shown to be inefficient. I am doubling my investment here over the next few weeks.)
100 dec to power it

Daily as of 7/14/2022:
$0.03 per day
~28 dec per day for desired cards (today's rental costs are pretty low which helped me save a few dec on average.)

Todays Return: is -$2.87

My Daily cost right now is $6 a day not including the dec to keep these bots active. Todays return was $3.13 so it is not a profitable day at all however at the time of this writing I just closed the deal to obtain the Hive Power I desperately need.

Usually for days like this I can get a bit disheartened but any investment is a marathon and not a sprint. Those that try to 'sprint' will find that any endeavor in investments is more likely to backfire. I look forward to seeing what tomorrows Bots bring with the proper Hive Power.

Interested in learning how to Bot?

This is a question I wanted to ask the community. I am a botter and a lot of us in this community are really a learn as you go. I am in the middle of writing a guide book for a friend on how to Bot with no technical Know how outside of getting dec (which can now be done with a Credit Card. Way to go Splinterlands Team!). If this is something you, the community is interested in let me know. Ill start throwing steps of it up too.

About Me

image.png

I have been botting for about a year now. I have grown my Card Power from botting alone from 50k to 260k. I currently run 180 accounts daily and utilize a 3rd party Rental Service and Battler Service. I do have some proprietary Bots for reselling but at this time it is not running. I am currently learning Java and Python (some experience here). Splinterlands is my only Crypto game I participate in at this time but always looking for more.

If you enjoyed tonight's content please leave some constructive feedback. My Grammar isn't the best but I hope I conveyed what you needed to know. If it was too long or you have any questions please let me know!
