RE: Gambled on land and lost: A cautionary tale

You are viewing a single comment's thread:

A proposition for gambling is no laughing matter.
You have my sympathy.
If I was in your shoes...
Maybe considering an active role in establishing a gambling site on web3.
I have not deep-dived into this, but believe it to be an option.
In any way, the thought of "being the house" as opposed to the current situation...
Would be a radical turn of events, I suppose.
Anyways, best of luck I suppose 😕

Thanks for your comment. I neither have the resources nor the desire to become the house. And whilst I don't see the gambling industry as evil (or similar) I don't especially want to benefit from it.
I do really enjoy Splinterlands and the Hive community but whilst I think that it is great fun it has to be acknoledged that it is built upon gamification and gambling principles.
The topic is something I know a lot about and i'd always advocate having safety measures in place as there are a lot of people that struggle with gambling issues and reducing gambling related harm has to be a good thing. Cheers
