How Silver League, Gold Foil DeepLurker
Defeated Death in The Weekly Challenge

Image created by the Splinterlands Team.

This is the weekly Share-Your-Battle showcase
of a Splinterlands Monster at work.

As you can see from the Battle progress in the two pictures below, the Deeplurker makes the devastation of enemy backlines look easy.

If you want to watch the battle unfold without the sour face I drew below,
the pictures will refer you to the battle.

In this Weekly Battle Showcase, the victory was simple and given by dealing more damage and having more life and shield.

Sometimes that is all that is needed.

Here is the list of the specific cards played. The lineup differs depending on the mana made available, but the focus on damage amount and shielded life remains:

  1. Diemonshark at level 2 has power, speed, shield, and life.
  2. Flying Squid at level 3 has reach and life.
  3. THIS is where I stuff my Deeplurker - every time.
  4. Merdaali Guardian at level 2 has a bit of tank heal for the meatshield upfront. If not killed off, it will keep the three meatshields last a bit longer.
  5. Kulu Swimhunter at level 3 offers ranged damage, speed, and life.
  6. Cruel Sethropod at level 3 grants Shielded life and one of the ultimate cheapest and most undervalued monsters in the whole game today. BUY IT! and use it for all the small-mana battles.

The Deeplurker is an all-time favorite of mine, a monster that I always try to "sneak" into my lineup if there is any room. He is a bit pricey in mana terms, but financially speaking the card is a steal at the moment. One to load up on before prices rise again.

And let me just remind you of the
most important aspect:

Deeplurker becomes even better at higher levels.

At level 10 (the max level) it is definitely a must-have, which incidentally is also why I am stocking up on it presently.

I really have a fondness for this creature:

  1. Speed • good for speed lineups
  2. Opportunistic • Attacks the weakest part of the enemy forces
  3. Poison • We need to focus on the Poison as part of the meta play.
  4. Finally, it weakens enemy melee damage, making it a super-strong monster to have on the team.

Please comment, like, disagree vehemently, as long as you engage - or at least try out the Deeplurker. ⚔ ⚔

All pictures and graphic content are free to use but belong mostly to Splinterlands. If I'm mistaken in any way, I will apologize profusely and adjust where possible.

New players blah, blah, blah, referral link et cetera 😉
