Magic of Magic! | Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge!
Hello beautiful peoples from splinterlands,
How are you all? After a long break, back to the usual life and in splinterlands. It's always enjoyable to pick the monsters with a strategy in mind. When the strategy works perfectly unknowingly or unknowingly, the happiness knows no bounds and feels like a bull's eye moment. And when it doesn't, let's start another attack and destroy this time kinda mentality. That's how it's been going on for me, full of thrill. So, once again, here I am to showcase one of my battles to join this week's Battle Mage Secrets challenge.

Let's see the battle and then discuss further…..
My Lineup & Rulset
![]() BLACKMOOR NYMPH |
![]() MYCELIC SLIPSPAWN |
![]() LORD THANALOR |
Summoner: As my summoner I have decided to go with the OBSIDIAN, a Rare Earth Summoner. it gives +1 Magic attack to all friendly monsters. As we can't use Melee monsters so my second favorite is magic due to the obsidian summoner. My initial plan was to get the benefits of extra magic attacks as it would get past the armor as well. This one is one of my favorite summoners for this kinda mana limit or less than this.
1st Position: As for my first monster, I had chosen LORD THANALOR, a Legendary Earth unit. This one is a 13-mana monster, with 3 magic attacks, 4 speed, 2 armor, and 10 health. It has the Amplify ability though I haven't made the best use of this ability. I just wanted the +1 magic attack and a heavy-weight tank on the front of my lineup and got this.
2nd Position: In the second position, I had placed MYCELIC SLIPSPAWN. A 9-mana card with 2 magic attacks, 2 speed, no armor, and 10 health. It has the Taunt ability that draws the enemy's attraction towards this monster. Also, the huge health is surely going to benefit me to survive long and with the +1 magic attack, it's going to do some heavy damage as per my expectations.
3rd Position: In the 3rd position, I had to pick BLACKMOOR NYMPH. A 3-mana card with 1 magic attack, 1 speed, no armor, and 4 health. It has the Immunity ability and so it is immune to negative status effects. As I was running out of mana due to the high mana monsters in the front, I had to go with this one, the extra +1 magic attack would make this somewhere better than the initial impression.

My opponent came with a combination of Ranged and Magic monsters, good thinking but the placement wasn't wise in my opinion. Well, there was a master plan, spot 2nd, 3rd, and 4th monsters. He got a monster with a weapon training ability and before and after this one, placed two no-attack monsters and so got 3 ranged attacks for both monsters. Nice stragy.

See? But the loophole was that after the death of opponent Tank, the ranged monsters were harmless on the first positions and my monsters got the benefit. Took down one after another and got the win.

That's a win, yeahhhhhhh!
